my mom was hated by the school. as she did take the time to look up the rights and did use that knowledge as a blunt weapon on them, if it is something people in authority hates is people that know what's the law is and call out on the bullshit they are trying to pull

My gramps pissed off my middle school principle. I got suspended for defending myself in a fight and the other kid didnt. (Because i beat the shit out of him, so the principle assumed i started it, as well as i wasnt as popular or one of the rich kids.) He went and had a "heart to heart" about how fighting works.
