A lot more secular.

2017-11-01 23:06:04 UTC

They're on the same level as radical islam.

2017-11-01 23:06:16 UTC

Not anti-theist but secular

2017-11-01 23:06:24 UTC

Yes.

2017-11-01 23:06:31 UTC

Persecuting anyone is a bad thing.

2017-11-01 23:06:41 UTC

*coughs* Self proclaimed socialists of america *coughs*

2017-11-01 23:18:16 UTC

America is on the same level as radical Islam? You fuckin' what?

2017-11-01 23:41:20 UTC

There are certain schools that teach creationism as equal to evolution.

2017-11-01 23:42:14 UTC

That is a mind blowing false equivalence

2017-11-01 23:43:09 UTC

This is what you are comparing it

2017-11-01 23:43:20 UTC

Sure, it's not ISIS levels of nuttery.
But it's about as religious nutjob you get.

2017-11-01 23:44:32 UTC

Contradictory statements are contradictory

2017-11-01 23:45:05 UTC

Fair.
But it still doesn't make it any less of a problem.

2017-11-01 23:45:56 UTC

It really does

2017-11-01 23:46:27 UTC

Well, less of a problem than you and others make it out to be

2017-11-01 23:47:02 UTC

A problem doesn't become more or less of a problem because it's worse somewhere else in the world.

2017-11-01 23:48:57 UTC

Right.
I might've used some overly harsh words, Brian.
But it's a threat to the fundamentals of western society values still.

It's something that needs to be looked at seriously.

2017-11-01 23:49:06 UTC

And quickly too.

2017-11-01 23:49:55 UTC

It's a steadily declining influence

2017-11-01 23:51:41 UTC

Is it? Because it was recently put into a bunch of states.

2017-11-01 23:51:46 UTC

Not the other way around.

2017-11-01 23:52:09 UTC

That's interesting. Do you have a source for that?

2017-11-01 23:53:18 UTC

It might've been in Louisiana.

2017-11-01 23:53:25 UTC

Gonna have to look it up again.

2017-11-01 23:55:47 UTC

That would make sense

2017-11-01 23:56:10 UTC

Not a threat to national security though

2017-11-01 23:56:14 UTC

Lol

2017-11-01 23:56:44 UTC

Now who's on the wrong side of the fence?
It not being related to national security doesn't make it any less of a problem.

2017-11-01 23:57:14 UTC
2017-11-02 00:14:56 UTC

To me it does

2017-11-02 00:15:06 UTC

National security is my primary concern

2017-11-02 00:15:22 UTC

Shit. Then why not give up all your rights then.

2017-11-02 00:15:45 UTC

It's easier to secure the nation if no one has any rights.

2017-11-02 00:20:38 UTC

It's not necessary

2017-11-02 00:21:13 UTC

And I would argue against the long-term security of an Authoritarian state

2017-11-02 00:24:43 UTC

I don't understand what religion and national security have to do with eachother, good or bad.

2017-11-02 00:28:44 UTC

A global caliphate would certainly compromise national security

2017-11-02 00:36:16 UTC

But the original issue was religion in the United States

2017-11-02 00:38:42 UTC

No it was a comparison between religion in the US and radical Islam

2017-11-02 00:43:13 UTC

Soyaman went on to make that comparison to try to reinforce his point, and while I don't agree the two can be compared, I think the original issue still stands that religion in the United States still poses many problems even if they aren't necessarily threats to national security.
