Hmmm
There's a better version, with the headlines something like "Zambia offers land to farmers fleeing Zimbabwe", followed by "Zambia has record corn export".
imagine that
imagine my shock ?
Really gets the noggin-a-joggin

I'd think that would be so god damn obvious that getting funding for research would be exceptionally difficult
@DanielKO https://github.com/louisabraham/copypasta-data doesn't currently scrape reddits copypasta, but apparently it will soon(tm)

just thought you might want to look at it, I seem to remember you wrote a discord bot that used tensorflow or whatever
Markov model
well anyway it's just another potential data feed I thought you might want to look at

"World Inequality Report 2018", and it's not what you think, and does seem to contain some good data
especially on the economic trends and rise in private properties of former communist regimes
`He claimed the cost of building a Death Star would be $850,000,000,000,000,000.
Feinstein dug a little further.
"That was just the cost for the steel, the raw materials for building a Death Star. I took those numbers and found actually instead of $800 quadrillion, it would be $193 quintillion."`

This was a fun "conversation" to observe.
On Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day I'd like to share with you all, and encourage you to share Dr. King's wise advice on the subject of homosexuality. The paragraph starts with "Your problem is not at all an uncommon one."

This is an analysis of why Hillary lost, and how the Democrats can recover, it's about 40 minute read. I've read about half of it, and I have to say "bravo".
Bravo - well done - I am in flabbergasted by the author (Jamie Chung), he manages to get it wrong almost _every_ turn and argument he makes, and he bases his conclusions in factually incorrect statements.
it's not really worth reading, unless you want to bathe in the ignorance of this person
here's one quote, that I enjoyed, from the very start of the article:
"And while most pundits at that point still considered Trump the second coming of Herman Cain, a circus act rather than a serious candidate, [Bill] Clinton feared Trumpβs ability to channel white-working-class rage. βHeβs a master brander and he[βs] sensing sort of the emotional landscape of people heβs selling to,β [Bill] Clinton told donors gathered in Atlanta in October 2015."
except that he used the name of a famous entertainer for effect, and then felt the need to explain himself
one can only hope that all analysts who look at "what democrats need to do to win next time" are as inept as this person
`Mark Blyth argues pretty persuasively that Clinton will run again in 2020 (timestamped)`

`He notes her as central in the "Cersei Lannister Problem: no one else can rule Westeros because I've killed them all, so it has to be me." `
god dammit he's pretty clever as well that mark fucker
guess I should listen to that
