Yeah. Go out and try to work on the political climate. You don’t need to do it full time, But still. I would.

2018-06-17 22:58:03 UTC

And if you don’t do it, who will?

2018-06-17 22:58:39 UTC

@Crypto MJM
Which party would you join, and what changes would you want to see?

2018-06-17 22:58:59 UTC

Momentum is incredibly important in politics; the individual can often feel like they're the only one holding certain beliefs and as such feel like there's no point 'risking' it by speaking up or helping out

The problem is, of course, that there could be thousands more people just like them with the same mindset. If only a few of them got out there and started engaging with people, things might be different. But again, they need to be highly motivated in order to get things going - that initial movement of the momentum

2018-06-17 22:59:03 UTC

I really don't like to much attention 😬

2018-06-17 22:59:25 UTC

"Vlaams Belang" is the party that asked me

2018-06-17 22:59:31 UTC

come to think of it, John Cleese actually made a political ad back in the 90s that sums up this thinking

2018-06-17 23:00:06 UTC

Always stand up for your beliefs, because sometimes, no one else will.

2018-06-17 23:00:33 UTC

I think John Cleese pissed off alot of libdems by voting leave

2018-06-17 23:01:26 UTC

Great man John Cleese absulutly liberalism, and a funny comeadain

2018-06-17 23:01:41 UTC

2018-06-17 23:02:08 UTC

```Always stand up for your beliefs, because sometimes-``` someone else will stand up for theirs, and their beliefs might be batshit insane. But they'll be the one the pollies listen to, because they're the only ones making any noise
2018-06-17 23:02:24 UTC
2018-06-17 23:02:25 UTC
2018-06-17 23:02:39 UTC
2018-06-17 23:02:55 UTC
@Crypto MJM
Yeah, that's the far right party, i saw something about it
2018-06-17 23:03:03 UTC
Guess a short documentary in French
2018-06-17 23:03:07 UTC
the problem with third parties is becuase they lose (in a FPTP system) no one votes for them which sticks them in a cycle
2018-06-17 23:03:23 UTC
the times third parties have sucseeded is when they have a dedicated grass roots
2018-06-17 23:04:19 UTC
The thing is, this party seems to be tainted
2018-06-17 23:04:36 UTC
yeah.
2018-06-17 23:04:39 UTC
skimming through it now
2018-06-17 23:04:41 UTC
ukip is as about as untained as you can get wile not being part of the establishment
2018-06-17 23:04:42 UTC
So, unless you are actually far right or want to be labeled as far right
2018-06-17 23:04:42 UTC
But I belgium they call it far right because it is the most right party we have. But are centrum right wing party is a wolf in sheepskin. They make mean tweets , yell loud but if you see what they did in the last 8 years they done nothing what they said
2018-06-17 23:04:49 UTC
If it’s like NMR it’s not even worth it
2018-06-17 23:05:10 UTC
for the most part I think UKIP has avoided being labled fascist
2018-06-17 23:05:10 UTC
Just join a moderate party
2018-06-17 23:05:18 UTC
I guess it will be much better
2018-06-17 23:05:18 UTC
agreed
2018-06-17 23:05:25 UTC
moderate parties are against free speech
2018-06-17 23:05:31 UTC
And easier to convince people
2018-06-17 23:05:32 UTC
Just go for some anti-mig party lmao
2018-06-17 23:05:36 UTC
mm. If you're young, focus on getting experience and your feet wet first
2018-06-17 23:05:41 UTC
All moderate parties in Belgium are toxic , socialistic and corrupt as hell
2018-06-17 23:05:43 UTC
things can change very quickly in politics
2018-06-17 23:06:32 UTC
And you wouldn't want to go on to have success in the political realm, influencing people to your beliefs, and be on the verge of creating significant change in your country
Only for someone to dredge up something like "X used to be a member of the Y party!"
2018-06-17 23:06:33 UTC
I say this as a massive poltics nerd, UKIP is in the perfect possition to be hollowed out and made into what ever you wanted it to be
