Anywhere banners can be dropped with in relatively close proximity to the high traffic areas which will be near the path of totality. Leading up to Monday morning. I propose that the actual eclipse will be spent at the campsite bc everyone will be looking up & already be in place, our activism should be aimed at catching them enroute to their location on the weekend before the viewing & as they leave. Managed facilities will be full & expensive, I look forward to some local knowledge here. I think anything near the path of totality & I-5 (high probability of over passes to work with) will suit our needs.

^^^
Yes

2017-07-05 21:52:45 UTC

I have some good (I think) ideas of where to camp, I just want to make sure which place will serve as the best base of operations for the banner-droppers

2017-07-05 21:53:33 UTC

I can't really speak to where the best spot for such activities is on the northern end of the path

2017-07-05 21:54:47 UTC

But I'd bet the place where the <@&304040059231797261> did their last op (near Albany) might work well for this as well.

2017-07-05 22:25:35 UTC

Will the <@&304026293178204160> be coming in from the Seattle area?

2017-07-05 22:35:15 UTC

I can't speak for any others but I plan on going down.

2017-07-05 22:48:34 UTC

@blackhat 16 I'd like to camp with you if that's an option.

2017-07-05 22:53:43 UTC

At risk of seeming rude, @BotsRob , I saw @blackhat 16 's tent last weekend and it's not very big.

2017-07-05 22:57:13 UTC

I'm kinda wondering just how packed I-5 is going to be and if traffic could possibly slow to a standstill as the shadow passes, or if pulling to halt on the shoulder would be a viable way to get a front row seat at this event.

2017-07-05 22:57:30 UTC

I have my own tent. We have shared many sleeping quarters. I might even bring a camping trailer.

2017-07-05 22:58:00 UTC
2017-07-05 23:00:02 UTC

Yeah, yeah, @BotsRob , it was an inside joke aimed at @blackhat 16 because he and I witnessed a funny episode with an extremely small tent this past weekend.

2017-07-05 23:00:55 UTC

@Jimmy Marr I don't think that joke is funny at all. 🙄

2017-07-05 23:01:58 UTC

@BotsRob yes, you should come up and camp with us. We should do it regardless of rest of events.

2017-07-05 23:02:02 UTC

I'm not even sure it was really a tent. It could have been a scale model of a tent that was intended to be used in a retail display.

2017-07-05 23:03:26 UTC

but that didn't stop @pitrunner1776 and his girlfriend from trying to squeeze into it.

2017-07-05 23:03:54 UTC

It was probably a hiking tent. Very small, light weight, and doesn't take up much space in a backpack. Did you bring your winnebago @Jimmy Marr ?

2017-07-05 23:04:19 UTC

Not all boomers!

2017-07-05 23:07:40 UTC

@everyone I'm looking hard at Bagby Hot Springs as a good place to find camping. It's about 4.5-5 hours drive from either Seattle or Grants Pass. Thoughts?

2017-07-05 23:13:13 UTC

@blackhat 16 it's a long drive for my old ass truck. Maybe I can link up with some of the <@&304026039766482955> and try to facilitate ride arrangements.

2017-07-05 23:13:37 UTC

For all you overpass flaggots out there, it's 2.5 hours to Brownsville and 1.5 hours to Woodburn.

2017-07-05 23:13:46 UTC
2017-07-05 23:14:04 UTC

@blackhat 16 hot springs sounds like a great location!

2017-07-05 23:18:29 UTC

What are the banners going to read again?

2017-07-05 23:19:13 UTC

It's going to be a surprise.

2017-07-05 23:19:41 UTC

Bro, I have to worryabout optics

2017-07-05 23:29:18 UTC

Ah, don't worry, you'll probably draw some innocuous message with massive public appeal like "ALL HAIL @ GENOCIDE JIMMY".

2017-07-05 23:32:33 UTC

Whereas @My Name Is Hate may be lucky enough to find a hard core message such as "HERBIVORES FOR JUSTICE" in his stocking.

2017-07-05 23:36:18 UTC

Imagine the joyful expression on @blackhat 16 's face when he unfurls his "JEWS AGAINST WHITE GENOCIDE" banner on Eclipse morning.

2017-07-05 23:37:02 UTC

I'm just trying to build up some enthusiasm here.

2017-07-05 23:42:17 UTC

In all honesty, I have ordered the cheapest banner materials available in order to allow maximum discretion by people displaying them. If some individuals decide to display them in a disposable manner rather than standing and holding them in public, they will have that option.

2017-07-05 23:43:50 UTC

The baseline message I intend to produce is "RACIAL ECLIPSE" with "racial" in black on white and "eclipse" in white on black.

2017-07-06 00:02:56 UTC

@everyone
Proposed OOP:
1) persons leave Fri or Sat from their respective locations and gather at predetermined spots on the I-5, north and south of the path, to engage in overpass activities.
2) after an appropriate amount of flaggotry, the banner parties pack up and retire to the woods for sonnenrad celebrations, where those who arrived at camp earlier than them will have scouted excellent spots.
3) everyone who can stay until Monday gets a primo view of the eclipse that morning, then braves the clogged highways in their quest to return home.

2017-07-06 00:06:30 UTC

My banner will be made out of JM hide.

2017-07-06 00:06:59 UTC

Then you'll have to arrive early...

2017-07-06 00:07:29 UTC

Yes I'll be driving down from Seattle. All this sounds good.

2017-07-06 00:09:21 UTC

"No banners left behind" is my mantra.

2017-07-06 00:12:14 UTC

Imagine the media's reaction if a dozen or so "RACIAL ECLIPSE" banners were discovered hanging from overpasses along a 300 mile stretch of I-5 during the week(s) leading up the eclipse.

2017-07-06 00:24:22 UTC

It would provide a publicity teaser ahead of any flaggotry on eclipse weekend.

2017-07-06 00:46:05 UTC

is that what it's gonna say? just "Racial eclipse?
