Nah, you are good. Talking about training particularly for sport/exercise/self defense is encouraged.

2017-06-23 03:40:59 UTC

I was eating dinner m8 and thanks, that's some good advice

2017-06-23 03:41:18 UTC

No problem, just get a really heavy knife so the training is twice as hard as the actual thing.

2017-06-23 03:42:04 UTC

We have knife here in the gym to practice knife fighting with

2017-06-23 03:42:15 UTC

sparring knives*

2017-06-23 03:42:34 UTC

My Bowie weighs over a pound, and I frequently do that exercise. Now picture, what happens if I do (for self defense) have to stab someone with my glock, which weighs twice as much?

2017-06-23 03:42:49 UTC

Also Austin, your switchblade is shit for combat I'm afraid.

2017-06-23 03:42:58 UTC

How so?

2017-06-23 03:43:01 UTC

I think just about all of us are into regular training/work our routines at this point. It is good to discuss what we do as motivation for each other, progress updates, and insight.

2017-06-23 03:44:05 UTC

I mean if I couldnt kill someone with that and my training then they deserve to kill me. lmao

2017-06-23 03:44:24 UTC

I don't need a 300$ knife, nor multiple knives in a street fight.

2017-06-23 03:44:25 UTC

Well, it's a liner lock, if you stab someone you risk transmitting too much force into the tang of the blade, causing the lock to fold, possibly injuring yourself.

2017-06-23 03:44:35 UTC

No, just get a fixed blade knife.

2017-06-23 03:44:48 UTC

Or a normal priced knife with a lockback.

2017-06-23 03:44:58 UTC

I don't think you know proper cuts, Artair..

2017-06-23 03:45:08 UTC

When it comes to acutaly human bodies

2017-06-23 03:45:33 UTC

I've studied it quite in depth.

2017-06-23 03:45:36 UTC

It's not a mexican stab fight

2017-06-23 03:45:42 UTC

I've acutally trained in depth.

2017-06-23 03:46:04 UTC

The idea of training is 100% self defense. The discussion began with people's concern of being attacked by Antifa type terrorists. We need to be able to survive an attack (solo or in a group), so being physically and mentally prepared is mandatory.

2017-06-23 03:46:10 UTC

I've also trained in depth, very carefully from the fairbairn sykes methods.

2017-06-23 03:47:16 UTC

Since we don't have the luxury of training together it is up to each individual to have discipline and prepare to protect himself and his people.

2017-06-23 03:47:35 UTC

Honestly though Artair you're welcome up here in Eugene, my Dad would gladly teach us both anything about knife fighting

2017-06-23 03:47:53 UTC

I'm not allowed to travel up to Eugene lol.

2017-06-23 03:50:00 UTC

Study up on Fairbairn... And also the stuff written about his unpublished manuscript by Cassidy...
Footwork - smallsword type of hold - cut and double cut drills... Union jack target on the chest...

2017-06-23 03:50:42 UTC

Protip one of my favorite moves if you're engaging a target in handtohand-

2017-06-23 03:51:06 UTC

If they over extend their lead leg and you're quick enough, you can kick their knee socket backwards

2017-06-23 03:51:15 UTC

Make sure to kick down and not straight.

2017-06-23 03:51:30 UTC

Oh yes, and no one deserves that more than Anti-fa.

2017-06-23 03:51:46 UTC

I hate anti-fashionism

2017-06-23 03:52:14 UTC

yeah, tell me about it.

2017-06-23 03:52:27 UTC

You should get a fixed blade knife bro for EDC.

2017-06-23 03:52:34 UTC

Just a small one about 4" or under.

2017-06-23 03:52:34 UTC

I got a KABAR as well

2017-06-23 03:52:52 UTC

Kabars are great, but your extending into questionable legal territory.

2017-06-23 03:53:01 UTC

I'd probably get another karambit

2017-06-23 03:53:17 UTC

Oh yeah, can't go wrong with that, but I have a better solution...

2017-06-23 03:53:19 UTC

Just a sec

2017-06-23 03:53:55 UTC

The third edge makes it a perfect fighting knife!

2017-06-23 03:54:30 UTC

Oh boy putting this on my wish list
