yea, they have a huge burden with the past.
I'm sorry you have friends who have weak opinions
Yeah. SD's past aint really the best. @Nordhand
and when you know how the left love to use the past, if you grand dad did say something bad you will be held accountable for it for all eternity
tbh the social democrats past is also REALLY bad
yea, a lot of party's have a shit history that is kept under wraps
Only one I think that dosent really have a bad history is the greens, and the liberals.
Those are the two that come up at the top of my mind at least
Moderates too maybe? I dont know. I dont know their history,
the greens at least here in Norway are totally insane and not a viable option if you do want a working society
Our greens dont like nuclear power.
But I dont think they're totally crazy? I dont know much about them tho.
But they're a no for me. I like nuclear.
they do want to ban all for gas powered cars including trucks which are basically the life blood of the nation as only half of norway have train tracks and the greens do not want to expand that as that is not good for the environment as well.
After all, humans are just a blight on the earth.
Our greens are hypocrites btw
They want a higher flying tax
and take flights worth 50K kr all the time
yea, if they get it as they want it. a cave man is going to look advaneced. to bad at the same time they drive around in Teslas while instagraming on there iPhone so yea hypocrites fits them well
one of the leaders in the greens was flying all the time while she did demand people to use the trains that was like 10 times slower then a flight. if the trains did go at all as the guys that run the trains are shit at that as well
In all honesty I know jack shit about enviromental politics. Not something that I read much about.
you have 3 kinds of enviromental politics in practis, the no enviromental protection at all a middle road and the last is ban anything that sounds bad. a middle road is the best in my opinion by far.
sounds good
@MountainMan Christian Dems?
Seems strange to an american
lol
Since Dems in america tend to be anti religion [except islam]
They are common in much of Europe, both east and west.
Merkel's party in Germany is the Christian Democratic Union
just looked her up on wiki "Merkel has been widely described as the de facto leader of the European Union, the most powerful woman in the world, and the leader of the Free World."
Widely described as leader of the free world, eh? Sounds awfully weasely
It's ironic, since she doesn't seem to be a Christian, or in favor of democracy
those parties are usually pretty moderate in their christianity, they espouse some conservative views of how the family is sacred and such, but they're usually not too bible-thumpy
That's nice.
That doesn't excuse or explain Merkle's behavior though.
it should make it seem less odd to you why she's the leader of that type of party
@Mal She was "widely" described as leader of the free world after a *certain day* in November or January a few years ago
Christian Democrats are rather unique to Europe
The Cristian Dems in the netherlands are pretty far to the left, but then again the old commies worker parties are also left, and the full blown commies are left, we do have some small protestant parties with like 5 seats who are more conservative in their views.
yes, they are usually more leftist economically speaking, than conservatives
Quite the opposite, tbh, makes no sense lol
In the US there's a direct correlation to religiosity and smaller government
