yea, they have a huge burden with the past.

2018-09-09 17:56:53 UTC

I'm sorry you have friends who have weak opinions

2018-09-09 17:58:30 UTC

Yeah. SD's past aint really the best. @Nordhand

2018-09-09 18:00:36 UTC

and when you know how the left love to use the past, if you grand dad did say something bad you will be held accountable for it for all eternity

2018-09-09 18:00:59 UTC

tbh the social democrats past is also REALLY bad

2018-09-09 18:04:05 UTC

yea, a lot of party's have a shit history that is kept under wraps

2018-09-09 18:06:57 UTC

Only one I think that dosent really have a bad history is the greens, and the liberals.

2018-09-09 18:07:18 UTC

Those are the two that come up at the top of my mind at least

2018-09-09 18:07:31 UTC

Moderates too maybe? I dont know. I dont know their history,

2018-09-09 18:09:30 UTC

the greens at least here in Norway are totally insane and not a viable option if you do want a working society

2018-09-09 18:11:21 UTC

Our greens dont like nuclear power.

2018-09-09 18:11:33 UTC

But I dont think they're totally crazy? I dont know much about them tho.

2018-09-09 18:11:44 UTC

But they're a no for me. I like nuclear.

2018-09-09 18:13:35 UTC

they do want to ban all for gas powered cars including trucks which are basically the life blood of the nation as only half of norway have train tracks and the greens do not want to expand that as that is not good for the environment as well.

2018-09-09 18:14:13 UTC

After all, humans are just a blight on the earth.

2018-09-09 18:15:15 UTC

Our greens are hypocrites btw

2018-09-09 18:15:21 UTC

They want a higher flying tax

2018-09-09 18:15:30 UTC

and take flights worth 50K kr all the time

2018-09-09 18:16:10 UTC

yea, if they get it as they want it. a cave man is going to look advaneced. to bad at the same time they drive around in Teslas while instagraming on there iPhone so yea hypocrites fits them well

2018-09-09 18:18:44 UTC

one of the leaders in the greens was flying all the time while she did demand people to use the trains that was like 10 times slower then a flight. if the trains did go at all as the guys that run the trains are shit at that as well

2018-09-09 18:22:09 UTC

In all honesty I know jack shit about enviromental politics. Not something that I read much about.

2018-09-09 18:26:29 UTC

you have 3 kinds of enviromental politics in practis, the no enviromental protection at all a middle road and the last is ban anything that sounds bad. a middle road is the best in my opinion by far.

2018-09-09 18:33:03 UTC

sounds good

2018-09-09 21:36:14 UTC

@MountainMan Christian Dems?

2018-09-09 21:36:27 UTC

Seems strange to an american

2018-09-09 21:36:40 UTC

lol

2018-09-09 21:37:20 UTC

Since Dems in america tend to be anti religion [except islam]

2018-09-09 21:46:38 UTC

They are common in much of Europe, both east and west.

2018-09-09 21:47:32 UTC

Merkel's party in Germany is the Christian Democratic Union

2018-09-09 21:48:46 UTC

just looked her up on wiki "Merkel has been widely described as the de facto leader of the European Union, the most powerful woman in the world, and the leader of the Free World."

2018-09-09 21:48:57 UTC

Widely described as leader of the free world, eh? Sounds awfully weasely

2018-09-09 21:49:50 UTC

It's ironic, since she doesn't seem to be a Christian, or in favor of democracy

2018-09-09 21:52:57 UTC

those parties are usually pretty moderate in their christianity, they espouse some conservative views of how the family is sacred and such, but they're usually not too bible-thumpy

2018-09-09 21:54:59 UTC

That's nice.

That doesn't excuse or explain Merkle's behavior though.

2018-09-09 21:56:51 UTC

it should make it seem less odd to you why she's the leader of that type of party

2018-09-09 21:57:20 UTC

@Mal She was "widely" described as leader of the free world after a *certain day* in November or January a few years ago

2018-09-09 21:57:37 UTC

Christian Democrats are rather unique to Europe

2018-09-09 21:58:09 UTC

The Cristian Dems in the netherlands are pretty far to the left, but then again the old commies worker parties are also left, and the full blown commies are left, we do have some small protestant parties with like 5 seats who are more conservative in their views.

2018-09-09 21:58:27 UTC

yes, they are usually more leftist economically speaking, than conservatives

2018-09-09 21:58:29 UTC

Quite the opposite, tbh, makes no sense lol

In the US there's a direct correlation to religiosity and smaller government
