here you usually put your oil inside your car or drum or whatever, and then pay for the amount of oil/diesel.

lol yeah, america does it the inverse. Ask for a volume amount, or whatever your amount of cash will buy

Yeah but it took a long time for the police to even arrive. This was in a pretty remote area quite north.

So it took around an hour

if tanken works there like in Germany you can fuel up your car then walk in tell the clerk what station you want to pay

or you can drive away, notrecommended

You fuel up here, and then pay with card to an automat that calculates how much you pay.

yeah there are some unmanned stations here too but not that often

in italy the even still have "servicio" you dont even have to get out of the car, have some mongrel fill your tank and pay out the window
