I just counter signal sports because even before the movement I was too much of a loner to care.
So now that I'm involved and the consensus is that sports truly is a waste of time I obviously endorse the notion.
Saturday I am either going to Lacolle, or staying here and seeing what I can do about the antifa buses that are setting up to leave from here to there.
I totally disagree with the whole sports are a waste of time. The best lessons I ever learned were on the ice, concepts like sacrifice, brotherhood, facing fearful odds and not backing down to fear can't be taught in the classroom.
Plus it got me alot of action haha
I don't deny that but after you stop being an athlete and become a spectator then you almost let your team become your culture, your nation, you waste space in your brain remembering stats, you talk trades and plays and contemplate matchups and the nuances of the playoffs, you go out with your friends and family and you exert energy and emotion in the game, some even going so far as fighting if someone insults your team or rioting if they win or lose.
Instead of discussing your actual nation, alerting people to the reality of politics and our dispossession and the slights committed against our people, instead of fighting communist cunts that have the monopoly on violence or taking to the streets to protest all the wrongs in this country.
It goes back to the old Roman saying of "bread and circuses", it's the opiate of the masses
Under a strong nationalist union with a worthy leader you'd get all you got from sports and more, and with actual meaning, then you did in sports.
And the hours you spend in bars watching the game and discussing it or even playing it you could dedicate to the ascension of your mind and body, to activism.
