So I was driving around yesterday running errands, and I came across a beautiful 19th century building that used to be a Catholic school. Apparantly it has been abandoned for decades, because the town doesn't want to spend the money to renovate it into something useful

They use the rest of the property for sports fields, but this beautiful building is borderline structurally unsound because they won't give up the shekels or turn it onto an historic preserved building

We had an old building in my town. Gorgeous. Rather than preserve it, they tore it down.
