Why arent you in a geology forum?

2018-12-31 17:49:31 UTC

I find it odd your siting 1 book when an "ice age" isnt mentioned in any other palientology reference of the era.

2018-12-31 17:49:43 UTC

Shouldnt you be?

2018-12-31 17:50:26 UTC

It was just cold out man

2018-12-31 17:50:30 UTC

Are you referncing the mini extinction event involving the forests?

2018-12-31 17:50:35 UTC

These scientist are wimps

2018-12-31 17:50:37 UTC

That wasnt an ice age

2018-12-31 17:51:17 UTC

The formation of pangea caused that. As most of the trees were swamp based pangea formed drying most swamps

2018-12-31 17:51:30 UTC

It does under life

2018-12-31 17:51:34 UTC

Dude learn to read

2018-12-31 17:51:49 UTC

The exinction exists. Not an ice age

2018-12-31 17:52:46 UTC

Extinctions happen for many reasons not just ice ages

2018-12-31 17:53:23 UTC

Coca-Cola must have like 20 fuckin bottle sizes across their range at this point

those are the ones I can think of off hand

2018-12-31 17:56:39 UTC

There was a snowball earth about 650+ mya when the whole planet was frozen (hypothesis)

2018-12-31 17:56:41 UTC

Lmao dude your a moron the ice age your talking about happened in the devonion period not the cabonifirous

2018-12-31 17:59:43 UTC

Thereโ€™s been a lot of ice ages similar to the one that ended 10,000 years ago, but not much that was massive

2018-12-31 18:00:29 UTC

Tbh some scientists say we arnt even out of that glacation period

2018-12-31 18:01:29 UTC

The period is just in an interglacial

2018-12-31 18:01:43 UTC

The current ice age, called the Quaternary glaciation, which began 2.6 million years ago and extends into the present, has seen more or less extensive glaciation on 40,000 and later, 100,000 year cycles. The interglacials lasted about 10,000โ€“20,000 years. The last glacial period ended about 11,500 years ago.

**Nocturnal Animal#6255** was cleansed from the server.

2018-12-31 18:02:35 UTC

Yea sorry reverse age is the whole arc period is the smaller arcs within

2018-12-31 18:03:07 UTC

Wouldnt doubt it the glacation period started again at any time.

2018-12-31 18:05:40 UTC

I had it reversed

2018-12-31 18:05:49 UTC

Said we are still in an ice age

2018-12-31 18:07:18 UTC

We have been out of the last ice age 11500 years give or take.

2018-12-31 18:08:06 UTC

So we can reverse any time. But we have hax periods of cooling even in recent history, like the "dark ages"

2018-12-31 18:14:37 UTC

Nerds

2018-12-31 18:15:18 UTC

No there was a cooling at the end of the roman empire, which lead to lack of food and rampentness of the plague. As well the cooling is what pushed the viking era as well, as food in scandinavia became harder to farm.

2018-12-31 18:20:18 UTC

The dark ages were just before 400ad until 1000 ad

2018-12-31 18:20:37 UTC

The warming was beginning at 1000 but was far from peak until 1200
