Yeah, that's why having dedicated guards is great, it doesn't matter if non-members show up, since their only job is to enjoy the rally, male, female or kids while the guards beat the shit out of reds and cops.

And it's great, and should push it as much as it can. But even if you have only like +100 people, having a chunk of those as dedicated guards shouldn't be impossible. Like you said, fighting is very chaotic, if you like, before the march picked the best equipped people and told you'll be the ones to act if commies rush us, it already clears a lot of things up.

Especially if they don't have explicit order to just march and ignore attempted attacks, there's this feeling, an entirely natural one, to just rush to your comrade's help, if he's attacked, right?

Indeed. I think in the US people are just constantly waiting until the enemy shoots us. So not enough thought has been put into hand to hand fighting
