if you work hard
See this was much worse in the 1700s
In the 18th Century you werent even allowed to marry unless you had property
or a business
you had to get permission from her family to marry
and no father worth his salt would marry a daughter to a man who owned nothing
so literally you had to live the single celibate life from about age 14 till about 27
till you had enough money to marry
read the Founding Fathers, most of them didnt get married till they were about 25-27 or later
in England it was even worse, alot of men could never get married, because they had no property
So the solution was, you would screw whores when you had nothing
it was a human solution
but this human solution spread diseases
and often a man would come into a marriage at 30 or so with syphillis
Its actually surprising how many men in the 1700s and 1800s had syphillis
and gohnnorea
i cant spell
I can't wait to go to church this sunday
I want to be clean again
You read some of that?
@CatoHostilius hell yeah
about how men in the 1700s had to wait years for marriage
and 1800s
somewhat as well
It was noted in England that men could marry much sooner in America than in England
because in England, if you married young you starved
but a downside of marrying later
was most kids didnt have a living father
when they were grown
Say you married at the age of 30
your wife is 14 or 15
you begin having babies with her
like one every year and a half
you get up to about 14 kidsor so then you die
suddenly shes left with spit
See theres a trade off
Young Marriage=more likely to see your children grown
Old Marriage-less likely
however the younger you married, the more poor you were going to be
