I managed to stump a grandmaster in five games because he was playing the high game for points and my only objective was to take the king.
I'm frequently amazes at how amateurs can often beat or stall pros in games of thought and theory
The nature of a game changes the more you progress, and ultimately the 'meta' becomes incompatible at the highest echelons from the lowest
