2017-05-23 06:34:46 UTC

Just learned that there's a law that **requires** testing shit on animals.
unironically kys Cheena

2017-05-23 08:32:15 UTC

Testing what?

2017-05-23 08:32:28 UTC

medical shit or just everything?

2017-05-23 12:32:56 UTC

animal testing is a good thing

2017-05-23 13:58:03 UTC

t. never had a pet

If you lack basic compassion to say that, might as well offer your moms ass for chemicals testing.

2017-05-23 14:04:11 UTC

animal testing is a good thing as long as its done after initial laboratory evaluation and testing

2017-05-23 14:04:59 UTC

you do know that test animals are breed for that and only for that. They have no survival instincts nor such to kick in if released to wild only way to end it would be kill the animals

2017-05-23 14:05:32 UTC

>breed for that

Here we go again.

2017-05-23 14:06:38 UTC

example the generic "white lab rat" has somewhat thicker skin and are breed to be healthy

2017-05-23 14:06:56 UTC

and i bet they get 100x better and more suitable diet and living conditions when they are not being tested

2017-05-23 14:07:06 UTC

than your average "pet"

2017-05-23 14:07:51 UTC

same goes with human trials

2017-05-23 14:08:09 UTC

healthy very targeted audience with proper health checks done first

2017-05-23 14:10:16 UTC

but i agree

2017-05-23 14:10:26 UTC

that its wrong if its done cause of some makeup/shampoo reasons

2017-05-23 14:10:58 UTC

for medical testing i understand and agree with it

2017-05-23 14:11:36 UTC

I feel like we're talking about different things.

I don't really care how they bred or shit like that. They're still living beings that go through suffering and abuse because of that shit.

And it's not like we're in fucking 19th century anymore. I believe there are plenty of ways to avoid that. Forcing animal testing by a fucking law -- this is utter bullshit.

2017-05-23 14:12:25 UTC

we dont have proper ways of testing how living tissue reacts to X and Y

2017-05-23 14:12:32 UTC

other than using said living tissue

2017-05-23 14:12:40 UTC

If there are cruelty free companies out there I don't really get what prevents others to adopt the same testing methods.

2017-05-23 14:12:49 UTC

in this case whole organism is needed to spot possible side-effects

2017-05-23 14:13:41 UTC

you know that those labels "not animal tested"

2017-05-23 14:14:00 UTC

is just outsourced to companies who provide separe chemicals and minerals who do testing

2017-05-23 14:14:07 UTC

but the product itself is not tested on animals

2017-05-23 14:14:39 UTC

just cause no need when indegrients (what are calculated not to be reactive with each other) are tested by companies who sent them to that company
