I need some suggestions to how to learn it

@plasticsword I've been learning Mandarin for about 5 years now. Great language. Hard to learn in your own tho I really recommend an instructor

every instructor I find online would do it through skype and I rather see someone in person

most of them are stationed in shenzhen as well

@plasticsword there's a lot of places online you can go. Try teaching yourself the basics on YouTube. Look up different tones and how to use then. And maybe the "alphabet" or rather the different syllables then from there you can learn simple words like family and colors and stuff like that

I can speak cantonese fairly well

but that's only getting me so far in guangdong

I've never learned Cantonese. Seems really hard
