I need a cooking gf ehhh

2018-08-10 16:59:12 UTC

Nice

2018-08-10 17:10:17 UTC

Btw why was the Hong Kong separatist party banned? :/

2018-08-10 17:19:38 UTC
2018-08-10 17:32:43 UTC

How did she leave such big white egg junks in there?

2018-08-10 17:32:59 UTC

I'm unironically impressed

2018-08-10 17:41:53 UTC

doesnt' it just mean they weren't whisked hard enough?

2018-08-10 17:53:15 UTC

I asked her @Sdeck37, she said "just don't hit them too hard"

2018-08-10 17:54:22 UTC

I bet she does

2018-08-10 18:00:56 UTC

@(import (srfi 151)) because it's fucking China

2018-08-10 18:02:10 UTC

Hong Kong is supposed to be autonomous until 2049 though, that was the deal they made with Britain.

2018-08-10 18:03:10 UTC

For one, they refused to pledge allegiance.

2018-08-10 18:03:23 UTC

also it's not banned _yet_

2018-08-10 18:03:55 UTC

They've just made it public that at this point, the government of Hong Kong--which is currently pro-CPC--wants to outlaw them.

2018-08-10 18:11:28 UTC

also it doesn't look like they want to ban Civic Passion yet

2018-08-10 18:17:17 UTC

this

2018-08-10 18:17:46 UTC

They have called for separatism "by any means necessary" iirc, and have never ruled out or denounced violence (though theyve never advocated it either)

2018-08-10 18:19:19 UTC

for a pro-beijing legco and chief executive who are considering enacting the national security law, this action is a good way for them to test the waters

2018-08-10 18:24:09 UTC

HK is mostly bullied to do what the CCP wants at this point, and the CCP has said that the little deal they made with Britain 20 years ago is null at this point, and China just straight up owns it

2018-08-10 18:24:16 UTC

And most people were like wtf

2018-08-10 18:24:39 UTC

It's quite funny actually.

2018-08-10 18:26:52 UTC

im not sure if that happened

2018-08-10 18:28:15 UTC

hong kong is a Special Administrative Region of the PRC but it still represents and governs itself independently

2018-08-10 18:28:19 UTC

The umbrella protests were a wake up call

2018-08-10 18:30:58 UTC

They do a pretty good job of detailing it

2018-08-10 18:32:06 UTC

even the umbrella protests were because the CPC tried to adjust the electoral process, not becuase they announced the joint declaration was null

2018-08-10 18:32:26 UTC

was not a fan of that video

2018-08-10 18:35:16 UTC

I dont disagree with the general sentiment but I thought it would provide insight or at least list off some of the infrastructural and financial projects that are tying hong kong to the peoples republic, such as the belt&road initiative funding and start-ups, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao mega bridge, the high speed rail link and terminus in Kowloon or the Greater Bay Area initiative

2018-08-10 18:36:56 UTC

instead its just a vague history of the handover by some laowai buzzfeed guy and then the umbrella protests

2018-08-10 18:38:19 UTC

True they could have done a better job there

2018-08-10 18:42:56 UTC

lot of missed opportunities to wake up the west

2018-08-10 18:54:15 UTC

>waking up the west

2018-08-10 18:54:45 UTC

Tbh if the west finally wakes up, it'll have to deal with itself first.

2018-08-10 19:37:57 UTC

I think we already have enough trouble dealing with ourselves…

2018-08-10 21:24:40 UTC

>the umbrella protests were because the CPC tried to adjust the electoral process

2018-08-10 21:24:49 UTC

No, they were retarded anti-electoral college hippies.

2018-08-10 21:25:36 UTC

They'd had the same process for a long time.

2018-08-10 21:25:41 UTC

The CPC changed nothing.

2018-08-11 01:05:23 UTC

Do you think the CSSA should be banned from universities outside China?
