Okay, now I just need to know why you can't do that on 15th in China
🕺 🚜
I don't speak emoji, mr. Speaker
1000 social score points have been deducted from your profile @(import (srfi 151))
government meetings or something
Gf made eel
I'm going to post it soon
She's preparing the plates
Also she really wanted to get rid of the leftover broccoli
eel is good
Egg roll on the right?
I need a cooking gf ehhh
Nice
Btw why was the Hong Kong separatist party banned? :/
How did she leave such big white egg junks in there?
I'm unironically impressed
doesnt' it just mean they weren't whisked hard enough?
@(import (srfi 151)) because it's fucking China
Hong Kong is supposed to be autonomous until 2049 though, that was the deal they made with Britain.
For one, they refused to pledge allegiance.
also it's not banned _yet_
They've just made it public that at this point, the government of Hong Kong--which is currently pro-CPC--wants to outlaw them.
also it doesn't look like they want to ban Civic Passion yet
this
They have called for separatism "by any means necessary" iirc, and have never ruled out or denounced violence (though theyve never advocated it either)
for a pro-beijing legco and chief executive who are considering enacting the national security law, this action is a good way for them to test the waters
HK is mostly bullied to do what the CCP wants at this point, and the CCP has said that the little deal they made with Britain 20 years ago is null at this point, and China just straight up owns it
And most people were like wtf
It's quite funny actually.
im not sure if that happened
hong kong is a Special Administrative Region of the PRC but it still represents and governs itself independently
The umbrella protests were a wake up call
They do a pretty good job of detailing it
even the umbrella protests were because the CPC tried to adjust the electoral process, not becuase they announced the joint declaration was null
was not a fan of that video
I dont disagree with the general sentiment but I thought it would provide insight or at least list off some of the infrastructural and financial projects that are tying hong kong to the peoples republic, such as the belt&road initiative funding and start-ups, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao mega bridge, the high speed rail link and terminus in Kowloon or the Greater Bay Area initiative
