dunno about the q1, but a lot of fiio stuff is warm and smoothed over af

the e10k especially

my e18 is pretty "sterile"

the new Q1 just came out too btw

bal output, not that its super important

but form factor looks better

if you want something not batter powered and smaller form factor, the SMSL idea measures incredibly well

I got some (admittedly very cheap) Superlux in-ears and I was pretty disappointed tbh

are there over-ear a lot better?

the superlux inears are a copy of old sony ones

never were very highly regarded

also in typical superlux fashion there's like 6 versions of them

@Droidbot frequency response means nothing without knowing what coupler and setup used.

that said, if theyre using something IEC 711 compliant, it looks reasonably okay
