nah my hearing isnt even that good
because if so: it's got a snr lower than 100dB
i dont have an oscilliscope lol
you will not hear hiss at that high an snr
the ear simply won't do it
but
ive heard it
🤔
that's "needle dropping while a helicopter takes off a few meters away"
i mean, plenty of people hear hiss with stupid sensitive shit like andros off even less noisy sources
im pretty sure its just iem sensitivity being stupid
not that i can magically hear 100dB down snr
if it's coming from the source then they just lied about their snr or something along the line is introducing noise to the signal
doubt it
i can run my go1k off battery too so its not a power issue
isnt source sensitvity measured in decibel to full scale, which doesnt appy in the same way as actual volume?
also, is there any way to affordably meaure source gear? is it actually accurate if just using an ADC with appropriate specs, and RAA or something?
i sure wish dac manufacturers would name the parts they're built around
honestly any hobbyist-grade DSO
and a sine sweep signal from the source
noooo
that doesn't have an actual AFE
ive been looking into cheap digital scopes but they all seem shit
tf is afe
get like a siglent or rigol or something
$300-$400
fuck that noise
im poor
that price range will do more than you'll ever need for audio
but anything below $300 is probably not gonna cut it for any precice or accurate measurements
so the cheap ADC route doesnt work?
how's $260
afaik achimago uses a uca202 for his measurements
siglent sds1052dl, can confirm it's more than up to the task
it has rolloff but otherwise its pretty accurate it seems
i guess you could, but you'll have an easier time of it if you use a scope
i dont really have the option if im a poor fuck
most of my money im investing into my business so i dont really have much play room
if you're willing to learn how to use em, aslk around electronics forums for old analog scopes
ive used a few cro's before
