2017-03-23 11:58:59 UTC

good for casual listening when im too lazy to grab my headphones?

2017-03-23 11:59:19 UTC

it's above casual listening

2017-03-23 11:59:32 UTC

ok might as well buy it

2017-03-23 11:59:37 UTC

its price of 1 meal

2017-03-23 12:08:35 UTC

I like the ATEs better than the Rock Zircons

2017-03-23 12:08:52 UTC

the latter has too much bass for my liking

2017-03-23 12:17:25 UTC

Superlux 668b 🆗

2017-03-23 12:21:23 UTC

yea

2017-03-23 12:21:47 UTC

i have rock zircon, xiaomi hybrid and kz ate at home

2017-03-23 12:23:28 UTC

the hybrid are perfect in terms of overall performance in my opinion

2017-03-23 12:23:40 UTC

but the kz ate have better soundstage and detail, but have a harsh high which could be nerfed through eq

2017-03-23 12:23:43 UTC

as well as the rock zircon

2017-03-23 12:23:59 UTC

while the zircon tends to have strange isolation which makes the bass overpronounced sometimes, depending on the humidity of your ear-canal

2017-03-23 12:25:17 UTC

zircon are prone to have an unsatisfying fit

2017-03-23 12:25:32 UTC

to many people i recommended these headphones on

2017-03-23 12:45:56 UTC

zircons don't last very long

2017-03-23 13:00:29 UTC

`Superlux 668b`
amazing, didn't know it existed

2017-03-23 13:12:53 UTC

FUN FACT

2017-03-23 13:13:04 UTC

All the shit you buy from china is made by hand

2017-03-23 13:13:18 UTC

and typically not made by automated machines

2017-03-23 13:20:07 UTC

many 22nm and 14nm SoC from China. now do they assemble that by hand?

2017-03-23 13:21:35 UTC

make chink socs great again

2017-03-23 13:21:37 UTC

ayy

2017-03-23 13:57:22 UTC

@tulio (tĂșlio) obviously integrated circuits aren't, but the components get assembled onto the circuit board by hand. If you wanna learn more, see the first chapter of "The Hardware Hacker: Adventures in Making and Breaking Hardware" by Andrew "bunnie" Huang.

2017-03-23 13:59:27 UTC

do they solder SMDs by hand too?

2017-03-23 13:59:44 UTC

Do you think there could ever be something like Shenzen in a semi-free country? I'd love to live close to someplace where all the components and electronics books are cheap af, but I don't wanna give up muh freedoms in order to do so.

2017-03-23 14:00:52 UTC

@tulio (tĂșlio) Not sure, but just look at a Foxconn assembly line and see how much is done by hand. There's over 500 people in those lines.

2017-03-23 14:01:56 UTC

I've seem them, I stand corrected

2017-03-23 14:03:07 UTC

Seriously tho, read the book I mentioned. It's well written and interesting af.

2017-03-23 14:10:35 UTC

@(import (srfi 151)) does HK sort of count?
