it's a laptop, you want portability and durability

thinkpads are kinda heavy but are built like brick shithouses

weight isn't much of an issue for me, as long as it's fairly reasonable (i.e. I can comfily use it on my lap)

it's mainly the screen I'm concerned about

I didn't mind 1366 on an 11.3 inch but 15 inch with that res is cancer
