Timers are garbage, engraving tool probably worthless and get rid of the kitchen chopper and gitgud with a knife

2017-09-03 06:11:50 UTC

@johnfrum store doesn't have knives

2017-09-03 06:12:05 UTC

That and I have to pad it out to NZD$41.07

2017-09-03 06:34:22 UTC

Do you not already have a kitchen knife?

2017-09-03 07:14:01 UTC

@johnfrum I have

2017-09-03 07:14:09 UTC

It's just that the store doesn't have

2017-09-03 07:14:12 UTC

Knives

2017-09-03 07:21:19 UTC

Get some sharpening stones

2017-09-03 07:26:00 UTC

you will never need whiskystones and that steelshot glass either

2017-09-03 07:26:21 UTC

also that engraver is shit

2017-09-03 07:27:28 UTC

chopper is decent unlike john said

2017-09-03 07:27:59 UTC

chopper eases up simple stuff A LOT but is not replacement to knife

2017-09-03 07:29:08 UTC

sometimes i wish i had chopper

2017-09-03 07:29:24 UTC

for shit tons of garlic, chilies, shallots i need to chop

2017-09-03 07:29:54 UTC

its just way faster to throw 5-6 habaneros inside one with couple garlics and bang it good half minute or so

2017-09-03 07:30:44 UTC

Just spring for 20 bucks more for a mini food processor.

2017-09-03 07:31:06 UTC

you really want to clean food processor everytime and search for outlet ?

2017-09-03 07:31:06 UTC

Doubles as a spice grinder

2017-09-03 07:31:07 UTC

no thanks

2017-09-03 07:31:48 UTC

but you are not wrong for large large patches processor is better

2017-09-03 07:32:14 UTC

but lets say 4-8 person meal, chopper is equivalent if you dont want make mush out of your indegrients

2017-09-03 07:33:17 UTC

Thing is once you get to the manual chopper you are in a silly in between spot where you need less then a mini processors amount and a knife. At that point , just get his with a knife

2017-09-03 07:33:22 UTC

Get good

2017-09-03 07:34:01 UTC

yeah its all what you need it for

2017-09-03 07:34:48 UTC

i tend to make large patches at home so chopper would come handy.. but years of kitchen work make me do it with hand anyway

2017-09-03 07:35:10 UTC

but for most "startters" in kitchen chopper is good option for lazy days and incase they need larger patches

2017-09-03 07:35:21 UTC

depends also ofc if you have cupboard space to stash it

2017-09-03 07:35:45 UTC

Chean up and overall cabinet space isnt much worse though.

2017-09-03 07:36:12 UTC

yeah

2017-09-03 07:36:32 UTC

tho i have seen very very poor kitchens on some single room apartments and cell-apartments

2017-09-03 07:36:48 UTC

where your roommates each have like single shelf for your stuff

2017-09-03 07:37:01 UTC

then it matters if what you have~

2017-09-03 07:37:30 UTC

but chopper is 50-50 buy .. its for need not for "maybe i need it"
