Well, dammit. There's your problem.
For some reason, your email's not in the database or mailing list.
ok. what should i use for email?
Okay. You're now in the database and on the MailChimp.
dammit. ok. makes sense now. this is why i never heard about events.
i did ask previously, a few times
We had a series of unfortunate events and are now more or less on top of our shit.
i did see the group April 30 2016
Hopefully you've heard about Pikeville?
yeah. i heard. other sources.
Yeah. We had a big nice email about that one. :/
I do sincerely apologize about all that and we are working to improve our outreach, communication, and engagement.
I registered. Where can I camp down there?
The campground will be at the event site, which we won't be disclosing until about 24 hours before the event for security reasons.
good evening, Wally.
Parrot, I can book early and that's best, as I am a Vet with discounts. Any chance you can have someone who has already reserved a camp site to contact me so I can get one at the same area?
I will provide bonifides
I would prefer to get there early.
No. Not formal campgrounds. It's private property.
We can see about arranging early, though.
Now I get it
And I trust you. We're not paranoid or sketchy, especially with reliable members. We just need to follow a protocol to protect the property owner and ensure that we know enough about who's there to hold anybody accountable if anybody's up to no good.
OK, that's a day's drive from me.
And about 40 min. to the local fishing hole
It's just outside Pikeville.
We'll have the conference at the site, camping overnight for those who are up for it, then a rally downtown.
Whether and how we'll try to do charity and outreach is still in the air, and is subject to security and spy-vs-spy concerns.
i was thinking of something to say, but its already getting late
Late at night or late for the event?
Oh, like a speech?
I got the letter last weekend, so I was going to ask how I can help and if there is anyone organizing a chapter in my area
