How long has it been in the post

2017-10-23 02:38:11 UTC

October 9th was last update

2017-10-23 02:38:19 UTC

leaving customs office in my country

2017-10-23 02:38:37 UTC

usually that means delivery within 2-3 working days, sometimes 5

2017-10-23 02:38:41 UTC

but this long?

2017-10-23 02:38:53 UTC

Holy shit

2017-10-23 02:39:02 UTC

I only ever had one chink item get "lost" before

2017-10-23 02:39:05 UTC

Mine took 4h to get released from customs

2017-10-23 02:39:19 UTC

Wonder what happens to all the lost items

2017-10-23 02:39:31 UTC

and it was a keychain tag that costed like a dollar, I got a refund for it and it showed up months later

2017-10-23 02:39:42 UTC

Makes you wonder if there's a mountain of chinkshit in some customs house somewhere

2017-10-23 02:39:48 UTC

covered in stuff from other post offices around Europe

2017-10-23 02:40:23 UTC

@johnfrum probably goes into lost items, and after some time (years) they're allowed to auction/sell it here AFAIK

2017-10-23 02:40:34 UTC

never actually heard of a way of getting to that

2017-10-23 02:41:29 UTC

There's some govt surplus auctions but I've never heard of customs auctions

2017-10-23 02:41:45 UTC

I've seen airport lost property auctions

2017-10-23 02:44:49 UTC

@Droidbot You have to admit the internet speeds here are dogshit though, I had nbn at my old house before moving and now im back at like 6megabit down on a good day

2017-10-23 02:48:31 UTC

It's not that bad, but it's not amazing either

2017-10-23 02:48:46 UTC

I get 10Mbit down

2017-10-23 02:49:13 UTC

the upload is woeful especially considering I have my 75GB music collection synced with OneDrive

2017-10-23 02:49:50 UTC

I just think it's a waste that I can't watch 1080p youtube videos on my 1080 monitor without having to wait 10 minutes for it to buffer

2017-10-23 02:50:13 UTC

I just really cant wait for the nbn to hurry up and get to where I am so I can get 100mb down

2017-10-23 02:50:20 UTC

YouTube videos are so heavily compressed I never noticed the difference between 720 and 1080

2017-10-23 02:50:52 UTC

It makes a difference on a 27" monitor probably not at smaller sizes

2017-10-23 02:51:02 UTC

like I can watch 480p on my phone fine

2017-10-23 02:51:04 UTC

yeah I'm on 25" UW

2017-10-23 02:51:20 UTC

which is like vert height of a 19" 4:3

2017-10-23 02:52:57 UTC

Regardless aussie internet is still not very good, ranked behind a bunch of 3rd world countries, and with the growing size of pc games the slow speeds are killing me with these 4-5 day download times inb4 >>>/v/

2017-10-23 02:53:06 UTC

true true

2017-10-23 02:53:13 UTC

I'm getting 100Mbit soon™

2017-10-23 02:53:23 UTC

they said August, then September, then October

2017-10-23 02:55:01 UTC

according to the nbn map it hasn't even started rolling out in my area yet so rip, I don't think im going to be living in this area for an extended amount of time though so I guess i'll just put up with it for now

2017-10-23 02:55:32 UTC

yeah I had fiber-backed ADSL at my last place apparently

2017-10-23 02:55:35 UTC

so I got like 15 down

2017-10-23 02:55:39 UTC

even during peak times

2017-10-23 02:55:41 UTC

shit was comfy

2017-10-23 02:57:28 UTC

I think 15 down would be an acceptable speed to sit at, i'll be happy even if I only get 25 down instead of 100 it's still an improvement, about 4 years ago I was living in a pretty old area and was legit getting slower than dial up speeds, we couldnt get adsl2+ because the lines couldn't handle it

2017-10-23 02:57:42 UTC

that was torture

2017-10-23 02:57:46 UTC

240p youtube for days

2017-10-23 02:57:58 UTC

sometimes 144p on bad days
