How long has it been in the post
October 9th was last update
leaving customs office in my country
usually that means delivery within 2-3 working days, sometimes 5
but this long?
Holy shit
I only ever had one chink item get "lost" before
Mine took 4h to get released from customs
Wonder what happens to all the lost items
and it was a keychain tag that costed like a dollar, I got a refund for it and it showed up months later
Makes you wonder if there's a mountain of chinkshit in some customs house somewhere
covered in stuff from other post offices around Europe
@johnfrum probably goes into lost items, and after some time (years) they're allowed to auction/sell it here AFAIK
never actually heard of a way of getting to that
There's some govt surplus auctions but I've never heard of customs auctions
I've seen airport lost property auctions
@Droidbot You have to admit the internet speeds here are dogshit though, I had nbn at my old house before moving and now im back at like 6megabit down on a good day
It's not that bad, but it's not amazing either
I get 10Mbit down
the upload is woeful especially considering I have my 75GB music collection synced with OneDrive
I just think it's a waste that I can't watch 1080p youtube videos on my 1080 monitor without having to wait 10 minutes for it to buffer
I just really cant wait for the nbn to hurry up and get to where I am so I can get 100mb down
YouTube videos are so heavily compressed I never noticed the difference between 720 and 1080
It makes a difference on a 27" monitor probably not at smaller sizes
like I can watch 480p on my phone fine
yeah I'm on 25" UW
which is like vert height of a 19" 4:3
Regardless aussie internet is still not very good, ranked behind a bunch of 3rd world countries, and with the growing size of pc games the slow speeds are killing me with these 4-5 day download times inb4 >>>/v/
true true
I'm getting 100Mbit soon™
they said August, then September, then October
according to the nbn map it hasn't even started rolling out in my area yet so rip, I don't think im going to be living in this area for an extended amount of time though so I guess i'll just put up with it for now
yeah I had fiber-backed ADSL at my last place apparently
so I got like 15 down
even during peak times
shit was comfy
I think 15 down would be an acceptable speed to sit at, i'll be happy even if I only get 25 down instead of 100 it's still an improvement, about 4 years ago I was living in a pretty old area and was legit getting slower than dial up speeds, we couldnt get adsl2+ because the lines couldn't handle it
that was torture
240p youtube for days
sometimes 144p on bad days
