2017-12-03 22:09:41 UTC

"the device already ready to connect"

2017-12-03 22:10:46 UTC

Xiaomi Mi Ai Speaker english patch when

2017-12-03 22:15:43 UTC

but why not just get an amazon echo 2. gen?

2017-12-03 22:16:07 UTC

@Gratzl when asked in Chinese if it speaks other languages it will say "It is preparing and training for other languages"

2017-12-03 22:16:18 UTC

ooh that's nice

2017-12-03 22:16:52 UTC

@Gratzl it's probably cheaper but I don't see the point in having one of these regardless

2017-12-03 22:17:29 UTC

If you have alot of smarthome devices it makes sense I think

2017-12-03 22:34:16 UTC

I will be obtaining a mi ai

2017-12-03 22:34:47 UTC

I've always wanted one of those personal assistants but I hate Amazon and Google and don't want then listening in to my house. If it's the chinks I willing accept submission

2017-12-03 22:37:46 UTC

@Big Meme do you speak chinese?

2017-12-03 22:51:07 UTC

I remember him saying that he does

2017-12-03 23:02:36 UTC
2017-12-03 23:04:26 UTC

o no

2017-12-03 23:04:27 UTC

@Deleted User find me the cheapest UV light ot "charge" my glow in teh dark smartwatch thanks

2017-12-03 23:08:48 UTC
2017-12-03 23:09:03 UTC

i mean not like super fluently but i knew enough to get around china by myself

2017-12-03 23:09:20 UTC

pretty cool

2017-12-03 23:09:59 UTC

it could be good to have a virtual assistant in chinese because then i could practice my chinese day to day which would be helpful and i could also talk to it and have no one else understand which would be edgy

2017-12-03 23:10:26 UTC

if its released in english ill probably buy one international and one chinese version so i can use both even tho that sounds counter intuitive

2017-12-03 23:10:41 UTC

the english one will be set up with all my mi devices since the chinese one has naming issues

2017-12-03 23:10:57 UTC

but ill use the chinese one to check weather and stuff daily so i can speak and listen for practice

2017-12-03 23:11:05 UTC

mfw big waste of money but i dont care

2017-12-03 23:11:43 UTC

Isn't Pinyin pretty easy to use once you know how to speak chinese?

2017-12-03 23:11:56 UTC

yeah pinyin is super easy

2017-12-03 23:12:08 UTC

it has a shorter alphabet than english too

2017-12-03 23:12:15 UTC

Classic Shell will go Open Source
Windows 10 updating frequenly being a major hurdle for the CS dev
Seems to be Fall creators update of windows 10 to be the last officially supported release for Classic Shell

2017-12-03 23:12:22 UTC

but like characters and speech take time just because of memorization

2017-12-03 23:12:39 UTC

all characters are different but they have some similar strokes to give you an idea of what it is

2017-12-03 23:13:00 UTC

but speaking is rough, if you dont meorise which words have which tones no one can understand you

2017-12-03 23:13:24 UTC

if i forget a ton and im talking to someone i usually just say the word in four different tones until they figure out what im trying to say

2017-12-03 23:13:56 UTC

unlike english where we just go by sound they go by tone and they get confused if you say a word with the wrong tone seems weird to us but pretty normal for them

2017-12-03 23:14:04 UTC

tho chink grammar is super easy to pick up

2017-12-03 23:14:09 UTC

waaaayyyy easier than english grammart

2017-12-03 23:14:37 UTC

how long have you been learning chinese?

2017-12-03 23:14:47 UTC

Tonal languages sound like a trip.

2017-12-03 23:14:54 UTC
