Cause right now it's handled through DHL

anything going through DHL goes through proper customs

because IIRC they have their own customs offices

But DHL also takes a cut for handling customs I think

DHL = getting fucked by customs 100% of the time

not that experienced with DHL, but I know they do their own customs calculations and I think you can pay order+shipping+customs at once in some cases

and then your package just smooth sails into your hands
