Although the Mi Unlock website just redirects me to the Mi Forums trying to get me to set a Nickname even though I have in my account settings

2018-01-30 03:40:39 UTC

Charge that poor baby

2018-01-30 03:40:41 UTC

So idk what's going on there

2018-01-30 03:40:52 UTC

@Sdeck37 dw I am now

2018-01-30 03:41:29 UTC

You can just ignore the whole "Mi suite" all together, you need nothing out of it.

2018-01-30 03:42:45 UTC

Besides that I think miui is pretty OK for everyday use

2018-01-30 03:43:39 UTC

Yeah I like how it handles stuff like the status bar better than AOSP

2018-01-30 03:43:41 UTC

Nice and small

2018-01-30 03:44:20 UTC

Some of the water TouchWiz esque sounds are something I haven't heard in ages

2018-01-30 03:45:28 UTC

Which version does the mix run at now?

2018-01-30 03:46:15 UTC

9.2.3.0

2018-01-30 03:46:44 UTC

Still 7.1.1 on the non dev

2018-01-30 03:47:30 UTC

Seems good
Imo there was lot of fuckery going with apps leaving in background /reopen them later before 9.1

2018-01-30 04:22:11 UTC

Well I just got unlocking permission within about 10 minutes

2018-01-30 04:22:16 UTC

That was unexpected

2018-01-30 04:32:40 UTC

I used MIUI on the RN3P all the time and I'm also using it on the mi mix 2 now. Except for some fuck ups with USB debugging and installing apps via USB (which is necessary if you develop one), it's fine. Funny enough those problems only occur on the mi mix 2, the RN3P was just fine for dev

2018-01-30 04:32:54 UTC

That said, I'm still developing on the RN3P

2018-01-30 04:37:55 UTC

Also camera2 API would be nice on MIUI

2018-01-30 05:56:40 UTC

@Spaghetti Noodles still need to wait 72hrs between binding your Mi account to the phone and unlocking the bootloader though

2018-01-30 06:07:13 UTC

You mean that they keep you hostage for 72 hours in hopes of private data

2018-01-30 06:10:29 UTC

Lol Tervy I was thinking about it last night actually

2018-01-30 06:10:40 UTC

I reckon it's to try and get people to give MIUI a chance

2018-01-30 06:10:59 UTC

In hoping they'll end up sticking with it

2018-01-30 06:11:06 UTC

And then yeah, jewing you out of your data

2018-01-30 06:17:43 UTC

@kylemd ah yeah right fuck

2018-01-30 06:27:39 UTC

hello

2018-01-30 06:27:42 UTC

Tbh MIUI looks nice, would be nice for normies

2018-01-30 06:27:48 UTC

Not for me tho

2018-01-30 06:28:35 UTC

if they didnt do stupid shit like disabling notifications and certain apps to save battery when it pretty much does nothing, i'd consider it

2018-01-30 06:35:30 UTC

the notifications are fixed in newest release

2018-01-30 06:35:37 UTC

on rn4x

2018-01-30 06:35:38 UTC

anyway

2018-01-30 06:35:43 UTC

I'm still using it

2018-01-30 06:35:59 UTC

it's a good fresh breath of air after using stock since ~2010

2018-01-30 10:21:42 UTC

It's true, notifications mostly seem to be fixed now

2018-01-30 10:22:09 UTC

Which is nice. Still some niggling issues though

2018-01-30 10:24:56 UTC

Like the security screen that's used by some apps won't let you unlock them with fingerprint unlike in stock. i use that a lot, really got on my nerves

2018-01-30 11:10:11 UTC

The only prob with notifs is they don't combine for Gmail

2018-01-30 11:10:20 UTC

I get spammed

2018-01-30 11:42:30 UTC

Thinking of getting some Taobao chink adidas shit <:chink:323022148870602752>

2018-01-30 11:50:40 UTC
