even tho they are membrane switches

2018-05-22 08:26:36 UTC

i suggest checking it out if it pleases your eyes

2018-05-22 08:26:41 UTC

Nah full mech or bust

2018-05-22 08:27:04 UTC

tbh iu prefer membranes (and waterproof ones at that)

2018-05-22 08:27:41 UTC

extra dosh added by "mechanical" keys what bring next to nothing in usefullness to table

2018-05-22 08:27:45 UTC

its just not worth it for me

2018-05-22 08:27:54 UTC

even tho i use computer much more than average joe

2018-05-22 08:28:29 UTC

dont fall for mech meme

2018-05-22 08:28:59 UTC

sure its mostly" preferences"

2018-05-22 08:29:08 UTC

but its just my opinion about price:performance ratio

2018-05-22 08:29:08 UTC

^

2018-05-22 08:29:14 UTC

i got blue switches and they are so loud man

2018-05-22 08:29:14 UTC

Use what you like.

2018-05-22 08:29:48 UTC

I'm not a watersports fetishist so I don't piss all over my keyboard

2018-05-22 08:29:51 UTC

Waterproofing isn't needed

2018-05-22 08:29:56 UTC

lol

2018-05-22 08:30:23 UTC

I have red, blue and black. Black is by far the best, in my opinion, but that's full size... and I prefer the tenkeyless blue just for its size. :/

2018-05-22 08:30:51 UTC

@Velyks do you drink within 2 feet of keyboard

2018-05-22 08:30:58 UTC

you will spill bepis on it sometime

2018-05-22 08:31:02 UTC

I have an old (cheapish) black at home for gaming, I have a blue plastic keyboard at work thats a bit too loud cos of all the plastic. Since I do compsci and networking I use the numpad a fair bit

2018-05-22 08:31:05 UTC

i have a membrane keyboard and i love it

2018-05-22 08:31:12 UTC

i used to say that before the rum and cokes started to have field day on my old razer shittymechanical :D

2018-05-22 08:31:22 UTC

hope it doesn't die, it's phased out and they don't make it anymore

2018-05-22 08:31:26 UTC

it's a Steelseries Shift.

2018-05-22 08:31:26 UTC

@bonemeal Yes but since I'm not a baby I have enough manual dexterity to not spill my drink

2018-05-22 08:31:36 UTC

Maybe while sober

2018-05-22 08:31:36 UTC

If you have problems with spilling drinks I suggest getting a sippy cup

2018-05-22 08:31:48 UTC

Already have one, best decision of my life

2018-05-22 08:32:10 UTC

can fucking lie in bed drinking beer from a cup with a bee on it that doesnt spill

2018-05-22 08:32:12 UTC

i'm a slob and sometimes i just like cleaning my keyboard. so with the Steelseries Shift you can pop the keycaps off in one mechanism and clean it with a brush at the sink

2018-05-22 08:32:36 UTC

instead of popping the keycaps off individually

2018-05-22 08:33:07 UTC

@Velyks The only thing I used the numpad for was for LiveSplit (speedrunning guff), and for bumping the mouse into it occasionally during gaming sessions.

2018-05-22 08:33:19 UTC

I like mech, I have for ages and I doubt thats going to change.

2018-05-22 08:33:31 UTC

I could use a TKL and a seperate numpad that would be fine

2018-05-22 08:34:01 UTC

Desk space isn't a huge issue for me and I don't post pics of my BATTLESTATION on /g/ because I'm a trash man

2018-05-22 08:34:29 UTC

Linus Cuck Tips recently shilled some brand of mechs with the numpad on the left. Was mildly interesting for a few seconds.

2018-05-22 08:35:24 UTC

didnt motospeed have one metal 104 keyboard ?

2018-05-22 08:35:33 UTC

lemme search for it

2018-05-22 08:35:49 UTC

@kontroll blacks are good if you're an office worker. However horrible to gaymen keyboard intesive games.

2018-05-22 08:36:14 UTC

I used my black for gaming for years.
