Nice!

I assume y'all are Orthodox...

2017-11-15 20:11:24 UTC

Yes.

2017-11-15 20:11:24 UTC

Devout.

2017-11-15 20:11:26 UTC

Hi

Very nice! I am Orthodox, as well (ROCOR).

2017-11-15 20:11:49 UTC

Glad to hear.

2017-11-15 20:12:02 UTC

2017-11-15 20:12:04 UTC

Doamne ajută!

2017-11-15 20:13:07 UTC

@Fevs I use browser version from a laptop

2017-11-15 20:22:11 UTC

But it's a work laptop, can't install software

2017-11-15 20:27:30 UTC

I don't want to nudge everybody off a platform they're comfortable and familiar with if it's working, but we'll have the XMPP server fully operational as soon as I get over this itis.

2017-11-15 20:28:24 UTC

It already technically works. You can install Xabber on your phone and log onto the chat server with [email protected] right now. But nobody's using it and the browser interface still isn't working, yet.

2017-11-15 20:28:37 UTC

I've used XMPP for PMs, never for group messaging. How different is its functionality from IRC?

2017-11-15 20:29:45 UTC

So i made a faceberg/ normiebook/doxbook/ zoggerberg 2 days ago and took some measures to ensure it doesnt get immediately banned and it hasnt yet. So im thinking im safe to start using it and anyone who uses fb should find me and friend me
-Dave Fassler on fb

2017-11-15 20:33:32 UTC

Can I use Cisco Jabber with the xmpp server?

2017-11-15 20:33:44 UTC

I'd add you, but I'm in time out for doing a racism.

2017-11-15 20:34:29 UTC

I don't know what Cisco Jabber is, But Jabber is an XMPP client

2017-11-15 20:35:30 UTC

Cisco owns Jabber, I believe its the official client. I use it for work

2017-11-15 20:36:23 UTC

I think the TWP forum is much better than discord, because u can actually create threads. Discord is annoying AF, cuz I have to scroll through a million comments to get back to something I wanted to see.

2017-11-15 20:36:27 UTC

It should work then yeah

2017-11-15 20:37:32 UTC

Can non-members access the forums?

2017-11-15 20:38:05 UTC

they can access the Supporter forum if they sign up

2017-11-15 20:38:08 UTC

Supporters can, but they have to register.

2017-11-15 20:38:13 UTC

not the Member forum

2017-11-15 20:38:24 UTC

or your local division forum

2017-11-15 20:38:38 UTC

We have a forum?

2017-11-15 20:38:39 UTC

I see.
I'm not from the US, which is why I'm asking

2017-11-15 20:39:09 UTC

@Random_user

Ya, have u registered on FashEmporium?

2017-11-15 20:39:18 UTC

Yeah

2017-11-15 20:40:25 UTC

Just go to tradworker.org, and use ur login info on the "Groups" section (that is where our forum is).

2017-11-15 20:42:07 UTC

It's part of our work to make our infrastructure completely resistant to censorship fuckery.

2017-11-15 20:42:28 UTC

We're sort of in a transition period where a lot of the systems are online, and usable. But we really haven't quite got much going on there, yet.

2017-11-15 20:43:00 UTC

And in case anybody's curious, the paid member forum is completely dead right now. So you're not missing anything just yet.

2017-11-15 20:43:20 UTC

And we're working on a solution to make it so that people can manage to sign up without bitcoin.

2017-11-15 20:43:53 UTC

Though we're doing everything badass first then easy last, so the store first came online on the darkweb, and only later was available at a .com address, and so on.

2017-11-15 20:44:37 UTC

Yeah, I almost never got a bitcoin account. It took days to finally verify my identity.

2017-11-15 20:45:00 UTC

Once the Jabber is rolling, when you log in, you'll see messages from any members who've messaged you, on the site. And there are dozens of third party apps which allow you to chat on the desktop, mobile, or whatever.

2017-11-15 20:46:13 UTC

"I almost never got a bitcoin account. It took days to finally verify my identity."
im confused

2017-11-15 20:46:26 UTC

It's a pain, and I apologize. But we've been repeatedly denied by Authorize, got completely blown off Stripe after Charlottesville, and have to have the decentralized dark web bitcoin thing as a backup in case the censorship campaign gets dramatically worse.
