>not soldering

2018-07-19 17:13:01 UTC

are you a fucking woman?

2018-07-19 17:13:10 UTC

just get a hotswap board then

2018-07-19 17:17:04 UTC

yeah fuck you for buying one product that does everything, instead buy a PCB and some switches and some keycaps and wait for them all to come in and hope you somehow don't fuck everything up

2018-07-19 17:17:54 UTC

I can’t filter properly

2018-07-19 17:24:34 UTC

its okay you can ask chinks to build your dream keyboard for bout $100

2018-07-19 17:26:39 UTC

There's no excuse for not buying hotswappable pcbs these days, removing solder is a pain in the ass and once you find something that works you won't change switches often enough to wear out the connector anyway. It's a good way to start a keyboard that allows for easy and non-autistic switch replacement

2018-07-19 17:27:04 UTC

yes there is

2018-07-19 17:27:24 UTC

the excuse is that some people are too lazy to go through that process

2018-07-19 17:27:45 UTC

Holy shit it's just like putting on keycaps

2018-07-19 17:27:50 UTC

That's serious laziness

2018-07-19 17:28:10 UTC

is it? why does discord exist if both irc and mumble exists?

2018-07-19 17:28:20 UTC

because its easier to use than both

2018-07-19 17:28:22 UTC

It's easier since you don't have to pay attention to rows or legends

2018-07-19 17:29:30 UTC

I'm not saying it isn't easy, its just not the *easiest* option

2018-07-19 17:30:56 UTC

It is if you find out you don't like the switches you bought, or if one starts bouncing

2018-07-19 17:32:49 UTC

debatable: if you buy a keyboard locally and don't like the switches you can just return it. again, the easiest solution

2018-07-19 17:33:22 UTC

buy chink keyboard, maybe be able to return it, more realistically sell it locally or for a loss online

2018-07-19 17:34:28 UTC

I'm not saying there aren't people selling bags of switches but its reasonable to think the market is far smaller

2018-07-19 17:34:33 UTC

@Tribit how can I help you?

2018-07-19 17:35:22 UTC

I think magic force makes a hotswap keyboard

2018-07-19 17:35:29 UTC

@porco do you know any good parcel forwarding service?

2018-07-19 17:35:32 UTC

for eu

2018-07-19 17:36:33 UTC

What kind of value are we talking about?

2018-07-19 17:36:39 UTC

If it's >300 Eur I can do this

2018-07-19 17:38:31 UTC

How >300€ ?

2018-07-19 17:41:45 UTC

Is kz zs3 the best?

2018-07-19 17:42:38 UTC

the worst :(

2018-07-19 17:43:30 UTC

the bestest

2018-07-19 17:43:52 UTC

@porco
How >300€ ?

2018-07-19 17:54:18 UTC

that's my personal threshold where it gets worth it to proxy for EU people

2018-07-19 17:54:40 UTC

but they still would have to pay their local VAT

2018-07-19 17:55:03 UTC

so on low amounts, it's too expensive

2018-07-19 17:55:16 UTC

Swiss VAT + EU VAT

2018-07-19 17:55:28 UTC

But on big amounts, it's usually cheaper than EU customs + EU VAT

2018-07-19 17:56:01 UTC

Although Switzerland is also getting cucked lately

2018-07-19 17:56:19 UTC

Local semi-government-owned warehouses are complaining to lose business to China

2018-07-19 17:56:34 UTC

so thing are most likely to change here, too

2018-07-19 17:56:43 UTC

not sure how long I will be able to proxy

2018-07-19 17:59:38 UTC

@Windatica recommend me a soldering iron then 😠

2018-07-19 18:00:40 UTC
