2019-01-08 06:06:04 UTC

🤔

2019-01-08 06:46:41 UTC

Why the fuck are copper and green so much more expensive, and which ones are the Ti/Al versions?

2019-01-08 06:46:49 UTC

Thanks, btw

2019-01-08 06:48:06 UTC

the coating?

2019-01-08 06:48:53 UTC

supposedly the brown one is solid brass

2019-01-08 06:52:11 UTC

just buy the real one <:alismirk:230784726615588865>

2019-01-08 06:53:17 UTC

titanium is cheap, you're paying a premium for being Made In America(tm)

2019-01-08 06:53:58 UTC

though this guy could just do what other american knife manufacturers are doing and outsource it to taiwan, he could probably sell for less than $20 a pop with real ti

2019-01-08 06:54:23 UTC

>55 dollars for a brass keychain knoife

2019-01-08 06:54:26 UTC

what the fuck, man

2019-01-08 06:56:07 UTC

if you believe that he makes them in his garage

2019-01-08 07:38:48 UTC

Sure. I believe it. If by "make" you mean he does final assembly on parts ordered from China

2019-01-08 07:42:39 UTC

That's what it means

2019-01-08 07:42:44 UTC

<:alismirk:230784726615588865>

2019-01-08 10:08:54 UTC

Anyone ordered lathe drill chucks from Ali? Are they shit?

2019-01-08 10:10:50 UTC

I'm down for carbide, but precision chinesium makes me nervous.

2019-01-08 12:52:58 UTC

so i bought a usb multimeter 11.11 and the tracking is "label created" and the buyer protection runs out in three days, should i message seller or wait then dispute?

2019-01-08 12:53:38 UTC

I'd just dispute it at that point

2019-01-08 12:57:18 UTC

ok, thats what i figured, i imagine ill get my money back no prob

2019-01-08 13:17:39 UTC

Message them first and give them a day if you still want it

2019-01-08 13:18:17 UTC

Otherwise yeah, just dispute

2019-01-08 13:19:41 UTC

They aren't going to ship product if they know it won't arrive in time and they'll 100% lose an already opened dispute, but keeping you from opening a dispute in the first place, they might. Probably not, but there's a chance.

2019-01-08 17:43:38 UTC

Anyone ever build a desktop pc from aliexpress parts?

2019-01-08 17:43:55 UTC

@Yados I think Linus Tech Tips did a video like that

2019-01-08 17:44:16 UTC

Thanks im gonna check that out

2019-01-08 17:45:09 UTC

IIRC he gave it to the guy who wanders around shenzen as an editing machine.

2019-01-08 17:48:10 UTC

@Yados why would you though

2019-01-08 17:59:12 UTC

@Goz3rr if it's better bang for buck why not

2019-01-08 17:59:21 UTC

it (almost) never is

2019-01-08 17:59:29 UTC

on top of that you chink yourself out of warranty

2019-01-08 18:01:20 UTC

Yeah I think that ended up being the take away from the video, too

2019-01-08 18:01:39 UTC

It was only marginally less expensive, and now you have a chinkshit computer with no warranty

2019-01-08 18:02:05 UTC

then it's not worth it

2019-01-08 18:07:41 UTC

but stuff like water pipers, blocks, reservoirs, etc is usualy worth it if you aint looking for some absurd stuff

2019-01-08 18:08:01 UTC

same as with some cases they have

2019-01-08 18:08:21 UTC

yeah, i have chink fittings in my watercooling loop

2019-01-08 18:09:17 UTC

segotep, jonsbo,RGeek, are decent case ones (what are confirmed to be decent by community)
