Ok so @Hadrian say you think a specific alt-coin, like REQ, is undervalued right now. So you buy 100 coins at 30 cents or whatever. If the value goes up, say to 50 cents, you can hold on to some of it and sell some, and make a profit, far beyond what the stock market or savings accounts returns are
