The Atheist Movement in Western Europe hit the Aristocracy during French Revolutionary Era it took until about 1900 to control the Aristocracy

but it didnt until the 1950s reach the common folks

Literally the move toward Atheism took about 150 yrs in Western Europe

When The Aristocrats discarded Christianity like a messy diaper by the Middle of the 19th Century, Europe was in BIG TROUBLE

no one saw it coming because it took a good century for the problem to grow bad enough

and because of isolation and much slower communication PRE-TELEPHONE and PRE_RADIO/TV

those ideas remained isolated

The problem with Protestantism is they are Man-Made

they have founders they have no geneology

The Roman Catholic Church as mixed up and problematic as it is is a direct descendant of the Church founded on 33 AD Pentecost SUnday

Unfortunately from my observation it seems like the "conservative" Protestants are all busy adopting niglets and generally being too nice to make a stand on anything

I have a lot of problems with most Protestant evangelicals since many are antinomianists

Most of Protestantism comes from Calvinism

in fact almost all of it does

aside from Lutheranism

and Methodism which came out of the Church of England

Many Protestants seem to think that because Christ died for them the Law doesn't matter at all
