Having the "vetted" room which was barely ever used made everybody else think we had some insider shit going on that they weren't allowed into.

We at TradWorker fundamentally reject the conventional "vetting/vetted" process, wherein trust is seen as a one-time test with a binary determination rather than a gradual, organic process.

I got fucked with early on in my activism career by a hater of mine who used his powerful connections to spread lies and rumors about me, which locked me out of a lot of the movement. It's now a decade later and the guy has dropped it. But I really haven't gotten over it, and I don't want anybody else exposed to that sort of capricious, cliquish elitism.
