Camping in the Catskills with two of my friends

I was going for a walk last week at night and was going to a nature reserve near my area. Once I made it there I felt a dark presence from the woods

kept hearing noises, they wree terrified and asked me to investigate. Was late at night in the tent

I have a story too about the first time I knew for sure that deep in my grandparents woods there's something spooky. I'll keep it short but its a long story. Was camping about 7 years ago with some buddies in late september. We had scouted the area that day and had found an old 50s/60s pickup truck overgrown, but there are no roads for miles around we're in the middle of the woods (Its still there and is cool to check out but I never go there alone anymore) So we set up camp right by it. Anyway the sun goes down and we're BSing, not 2 beers in we start hearing noises, almost like laughing in the distance. We chop it up to just regular woodland noises and keep talking. Suddenly from about 15 feet away we here someone walking through the leaves, clearly bipedal movement, moving from our left to right in the direction of the pickup, then it stops. We've called into the woods 3 times saying they were on private property before it stopped near the truck. Our lights had been shining but only reached far enough to make out a tallish figure of no visable description. Suddenly at least 10 coyotes howl all at once to our left, not 30 feet away, and the figure just fuckin disapears. We can make out 10 sets of eyes reflecting on our lights.

Wendigos are humans that have extended their life unnaturally through canibalism and a certain ritual, they're harder to kill
