And for a Christian Church Father, respected by all High Church denominations, Saint John Chrysostom's 8 Homilies Against the Jews are a great resource. http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/chrysostom_adversus_judaeos_01_homily1.htm

2017-12-22 22:49:13 UTC

Well I was lucky I was raised with the PROPER understanding about Israel being lost

2017-12-22 22:49:26 UTC

the New Israel the Israel of God as Justin Martyr I beleieve called the Church

2017-12-22 22:49:29 UTC

is Israel today

2017-12-22 22:49:30 UTC

@MatthewHeimbach Thanks, I have that written down. I'm currently an agnostic but I come from a Christian background; if I can come to reconcile the OT and NS it would overcome a lot of burdens for me. The 'death of God' was not a thing I took pleasure in, I would rather be a Christian but there are some unanswered questions.

2017-12-22 22:49:34 UTC

physical Israels over

2017-12-22 22:49:38 UTC

Spiritual Israels here

2017-12-22 22:49:58 UTC

@Michael I hear ya man. I used to be a fedora tipping atheist myself

2017-12-22 22:50:23 UTC

Matt have you ever tried to study that history from after the failed War of Southern Independence to about WWII

2017-12-22 22:50:34 UTC

to understand why Christianity went into such freefall decline in America?

2017-12-22 22:50:38 UTC

thats kinda my thing, lol

2017-12-22 22:50:40 UTC

its a hard study and Ive done it

2017-12-22 22:50:54 UTC

and it really makes no sense why it seemed like Christianity just croaked

2017-12-22 22:51:18 UTC

America was founded as a Masonic low church nation

2017-12-22 22:51:38 UTC

The church and State must work hand in hand, thats why in Orthodoxy we have the double headed eagle. One head is the Church, one is the State, the body is the folk

2017-12-22 22:51:55 UTC

In America, the low church protestant traditions had no relationship like that

2017-12-22 22:52:09 UTC

Without a hierarchy to keep out bad ideas, heresy can run amock

2017-12-22 22:52:12 UTC

Here's one I would like to toss out. In seminary I wrote papers on the Armenian Apostolic Church. The first nation to officially convert to Christianity, if I recall. What is our take on their denomination and ethnic group?

2017-12-22 22:52:25 UTC

Here's an interesting one. Go back and read the Abolitionists and heres what you find. Everything they did, albeit wrong and misguided

2017-12-22 22:52:30 UTC

came from a Christian standpoint

2017-12-22 22:52:35 UTC

a misguided one but Christian

2017-12-22 22:52:43 UTC

It came from a low church tradition, tied with calvinism

2017-12-22 22:52:45 UTC

their perverted Christian standpoint

2017-12-22 22:52:49 UTC

yes thats what i meant

2017-12-22 22:52:55 UTC

low church perversion

2017-12-22 22:52:58 UTC

Cromwell letting the kikes back to England is all you need to know about Calvinism

2017-12-22 22:53:17 UTC
