I'd say don't talk to them, but if you do, insist on recording it as a condition of the interview. Also write down what you plan to say, and stick to the outline. They ask leading questions, and ask questions in a way to get you to answer the way they want, and to lead you into talking about things you shouldn't discuss with the press.

Also, if you have anything in your past that you're uncomfortable with everyone knowing, or would just rather not revisit that time in your life, don't talk to them, because it will likely come out

How will it come out?

They will dig around, interview people you used to know or associate with and ask about you, look into public records, stuff like that. Also, once your name or face shows up in the media, people that you used to associate with, work with, went to school with, etc. Will start popping up and talking

DEFINITELY use an alias, and shoah all of your social media and change your phone number if they have it. Because they will give it out if they sympathize with antifa, or just share it with other journalists

Being doxxed through a phone interview is highly unlikely as long as you use a false name. You can lie about where you live and your job too, the main idea is to get our message out there and as long as you don't try to focus on yourself it'll turn out fine. Also use a fake phone number or private number if you're worried about them tracing you to whitepages.

Yeah recording is a good idea. I've been in a bunch of video interviews and avoided doxxing by using aliases and fake info about myself. Also if you don't want to answer a question or can't, you don't have to and they more than likely won't mention that you refused to answer a question because it doesn't benefit their piece.
