That's what the trumpet is to me but I know nothing about music.

2019-12-03 17:02:27 UTC

It is not

2019-12-03 17:02:49 UTC

But I mean, the sound of it
Like you have to be actually skilled to find a good place for a trumpet
And most often when you hear a trumpet in a song it just sounds out of place

2019-12-03 17:04:29 UTC

And its timbre isn't that pleasant to my ear either

2019-12-03 17:04:30 UTC

It's not as commonly misused as saxophone, but still
I know both of these instruments are commonly used in jazz, but I don't really know that much about jazz nor I particularily like it

2019-12-03 17:04:52 UTC

So yeah, jazz def doesn't make me like trumpet more

2019-12-03 17:06:49 UTC

Trumpets can be support or centerpiece

2019-12-03 17:07:26 UTC

*mmm trumpet solos*

2019-12-03 17:08:59 UTC

I can play Guadalajara

2019-12-03 17:09:08 UTC

for much longer than you can stand it

2019-12-03 17:10:44 UTC

I wouldn't be surprised

2019-12-03 17:11:25 UTC

oh and I know the hat dance of course

2019-12-03 17:11:52 UTC

that one is hard though

2019-12-03 17:13:23 UTC

You need to know all of these if you ever want a mexican qt in those dresses, Laure

2019-12-03 17:13:57 UTC

I think I can suffer a bit for that

2019-12-03 17:18:40 UTC

I can play the coronet

2019-12-03 17:18:47 UTC

I played it in elementary

2019-12-03 17:19:17 UTC

Thank fuckin god I was never forced to learn the recorder as a kid.

2019-12-03 17:19:33 UTC

I got out of that in the last year in elementary music.

2019-12-03 17:20:10 UTC

But in jr high we had a bunch of guitars, drum kits, and basses and shit.

2019-12-03 17:20:24 UTC

And we learned a bit of each of those.

2019-12-03 17:20:50 UTC

I still hated music class fuck that.

2019-12-03 17:33:49 UTC

I liked it

2019-12-03 17:34:03 UTC

But performing was pret stressful

2019-12-03 17:34:42 UTC

But still kinda fun . I had this super autistic portly guy that taught us about classical composers and jazz

2019-12-03 17:35:18 UTC

There were these show offs that'd play the piano with their home lesson experience to dab on us air players

2019-12-03 17:35:32 UTC

Fuckin pianist scrubs

2019-12-03 17:35:59 UTC

2019-12-03 17:38:42 UTC

Seriously though, about "I have no tools to create" thing again
Considering the fact, that audio equipment is dirt cheap and even the cheapest is still better than some pro stuff used a few decades ago (your built-in laptop microphone is still much better than mics artists had to use in say 50s), the equipment isn't really such an issue anymore
A lot of the stuff you would have to pay a lot of money back in the days are basically free nowadays, like music computer software, like drum machines, recording and mixing software, synthetisers of all sorts, a lot of great software for writing down music that allow you to play it by MIDI as you write it and stuff like that and even the equipment you'd have to buy is really affordable nowadays

2019-12-03 17:42:31 UTC

Nice

2019-12-03 17:42:51 UTC

So Scottish garage bagpipes band soon?

2019-12-03 17:43:01 UTC

2019-12-03 17:43:02 UTC

Plus "the abscense of limitations is the enemy of art"

2019-12-03 17:43:37 UTC

It's the enemy of innovation as well.

2019-12-03 17:43:39 UTC

Varg records some his best albums on 30 dollar pc mics and a simple synth

2019-12-03 17:43:46 UTC

Based, after I've learned how to play bagpipes they will let me dress in their skirts

Engineering is all about limitations.
