We're debuting the Charlottesville Defense Fund next week, which will include Vanguard, TradWorker, Borden, Goodwin, and Kessler as part of a unified legal defense project inclusive of the criminal defense of the arrested men, the civil defense of the organizations and individuals being sued, and the prospective counter-claims.
While the fund is singular, people can pay into respective "buckets" which will then weight how the (completely speculative) claims against Cville & Pals are paid out.
While several major groups and individuals have their own separate representation, we're hopeful that some of them will eventually roll into this. Our imperative while structuring our legal strategy has been to arrive at a strategy which is as comprehensive as possible, and doesn't leave behind the men who've been arrested.
I mean I don't see how they can win. They were made to uphold a permit and fucked up.
They staged a bum fight and lost. Simple as that.
Well, this whole situation really pushes the boundaries of normal legal matters, especially the closer things get to the City of Charlottesville, a bizarre city-state with its own foreign policy, private army, legal framework, and suited apes running the city.
