The name seems like a joke
So it's a bit ambiguous what you believe
I don't have a label really but I believe that people have basic human rights that can't be infringed upon. Right to liberty, life, pursuit of happiness. Anything that doesn't hurt other people or infringe on their rights/ rights of living beings shouldn't be prevented.
I also think that the populace should be educated and informed about the world and that society should have curiosity and desire to learn about the world.
I feel like the west is advanced enough now that basic human needs should be met, IDK how exactly that can be achieved though, I just think it should be so.
I'm not a socialist honestly because I think that though capitalism can lead to great suffering, at the end of the day it's just an economic system that takes advantage of the competitive nature of humans and human nature is the real root of suffering and pain.
I think capitalism with certain checks and controls to prevent the infringement of people's rights is the best economic system possible until something new is designed.
I have this nickname because it riles up right wingers and I guess I'm a fan of Cold War shit posting.
@F0X~{A Walker} Questions?
@America Billiards what about religious rights?
Also how much laizze faire?
As long as practicing religion doesn't infringe on other's rights, then people should be able to practice it. I do believe in separation of Church and State though.
So should a religious person have to make a lgbt wedding cake as a private institution?
See I don't actually know tbh. I've thought about this one a lot. IMO that's discrimination but at the same time
Hence private institution not public one which has publicly traded stocks
what if they wanted a nazi wedding cake
I mean of course you can't compare gay couples to nazis
But if someone legitimately believes that making a wedding cake for a gay couple is against their beliefs
They're wrong, they're dumb, but I guess that's legitimately their belief
To answer your other question, I think there's definitely a place for private institutions in the world. I don't think institutions and corporations should be treated as people though. The government should have the power to prevent corporations from depriving people of their rights or essential human needs
There is good reason to refuse the gay wedding cake
Not the nazi cake
???
You think there's more reason to refuse a gay wedding cake than a nazi cake?
Yes
Nazi cake is a cake for ideology, something that can be altered somewhat.
Being gay is not something you can choose.
Gayness isn't an ideology
Yes it can be chosen to act upon
Ok so you'd rather gay people be closeted?
You can be attracted to the same sex doesn't mean you have to act upon it.
When a married man in the street sees a pretty girl that isn't his wife he has a tendency to desire her but he holds himself back
Just because you have a tendency to do something doesn't mean you should always act upon it
Acting upon it is a choice
A choice many disagree with
Desiring the same sex is ok
But once it leads to gay marital relations then that's a problem
Umm no. Says who?
