i'm not arguing it's a top job
just saying it's not for everyone lol
there are plenty of people willing and able to take your place that's why you take that abuse and make your salary
it doesn't requrie much skill
that is just a fact
get a skill
true
the point is
that getting a skill
means leading yourself into the life of an average joe
working for someone else doing the same thing for the next 50 years
lol, unlike your amazing life as a waiter
i'm 18, i'm allowed to be a waiter 😄
well, you got to figure out that as well
having some cash is a good start to other things though
and that's the only real wya to get cash initially is to work a skilled job
once you have a good income you can make some money and invest in other ideas
start your own business with it
my foggy plan was work in shit jobs for a year or two, and start a side project on the side that i could fund with the money i earn
have no damn clue what project tho
generally more money equals more options
larger primary incomes are careers
which require a degree
which requires years of my time
no all careers require a degree
jsut learn to weld or something
that's at least something
you'll make far more than a waiter
i actually quite enjoy my job lately
you can buy yourself a welder for a few hundred dollars and practice
just weld random chunks of metal together
okay, you can enjoy it, you don't have to do anything else
waiting tables is like a gym for social skills
being a waiter may not be so much fun when you are 45 though
I could see that
i'm less concerned about the money i make in temporary jobs
i'm concerned about what i wanna do in life
if you ask me where i imagine myself in 5 or 10 years
i have no ideeeeeeea
such a special snowflake
