Message from patron Saint of EATIN in tradworker #events
Aaaaand it is 77 miles away from home......
So I would be forced to live there....
Fuck the University of Tennessee!
We will bust down your doors whether you like it or not! Our message is not going to be censored anymore
What happened now
So is UT trying to block us or what?
I don't think they're going to be able to stop us from going
Well Heimbach said if they blocked him from speaking we would rally in the streets
I don't think they're going to. They are just trying to shame us into not showing up by saying we're wrong and evil and not welcome
Yeah but the cops are indicating they will stand down and let us get hemmed up.
Are they? Sucks
Yeah, not looking forward to feeling like I did when the guys were in Charlottesville, but I guess Heimbach wants to double down anyway.
@patron Saint of EATIN Cops will either be giant pushovers and will intervene in big fights, or will practically treat us as if we were rioting.
Doubling down is probably the right tactic here. Show strength
I don't feel a lot of fear with the TWP guys
We have the best people
@patron Saint of EATIN
Where have u seen that about the cops standing down?
I would be very surprised if that happens...
Im gonna be speaking with my contacts in KPD today, to make sure they do their jobs.
I haven't seen it anywhere, just what I've heard from my husband and from Heimbach. @John Mosby
I just don't want it to devolve into a brewhaha since we can't have firearms on campus, I assume. Or can we?
Almost definitely not
I couldn't remember what states had passed campus carry as of yet, although even that could apply to students and staff only.
I spent the 9 months I was pregnant being extremely out of touch with everything outside my house because aspergers and estrogen don't mix well.
SORRY FOR KVETCHING OUT LOUD YOU GUISE
No weapons on campus, at all...
Welp, they aren't blocking us, but they might mess with our schedule...
This is good news:
"Heimbach’s group is paying a standard rental fee for the room as any other group would. The university will cover any costs associated with providing the services of the UT Police Department."
"The safety of our campus community and visitors is the top priority of the UT Police Department and the department is preparing for this event. They oversee security for more than 250 campus events each year."
Thank God for good news. I've been praying for good fortune for all of this crazy stuff going on
Good to see those prayers answered
Oooh we could do a literal Rock Against Communism
With a blood banner done with a stencil.
