there are objective things you can critique in a film

plot holes, contradictions, mise en scene, camera focusing etc

the observations one has about art are objective, the value you assign to those observations will be subjective

art is objective

so is comedy

unless of course you found your values in something transcendent like God

ie in code geass when lelouch accidently makes euphemia commit genocide. objectively its an ass pull but personally it dosent really affect the quality for me

Art critique is equal parts objective and subjective, the art itself however is objective

people who say art and comedy are subjective are just trying to be nice to the plebeians

music and food are different though because some people have different hearing/taste

for example: some people who are sensitive to high pitch wont like classical or electronic music as much
