channels are the primary data structure

and they exist outside of servers

they can be clustered in a community/server

and programmers don't really feel like doing more programming after hours, usually, unless it's a very enthusiastic project

We should treat discord servers as short term chat things rather than any real infrastructure for the movement

also, people tend to want to monetize or make a business out of it, which is just a non-starter for me, it has to just all be pro-bono, no ownership

otherwise it requires commitment and that's just too much
