All forms of government become shit at some point

Truth

2019-05-14 02:56:49 UTC

The question is, can you change your government?

2019-05-14 02:56:53 UTC

Any governing body oversteps at some point

2019-05-14 02:56:54 UTC

That's how you know if it's shitty or not

2019-05-14 02:57:00 UTC

Valid

Sorry my autism slipped

I used to have the same attitude about career politicians but in all honesty, I changed my mind and here's why. Bureaucracy in America was designed to be slow. Ask any relatively educated congressman or woman and they'll tell you that probably the biggest reason the government and it's decision making process was designed to be slow was because the founding fathers didn't want anything bad to happen quickly. The double edged sword is that nothing good can happen quickly either. There was an interesting video that I found where the daughter of Nancy Pelosi (I know, total bitch yada yada) interviewed outgoing members of the House in 2018, and that was what changed my opinion on career politicians. One republican flat out said he planned to be in for no longer than like 12 years... he stayed for 20. Because he couldn't accomplish his goals in Congress fast enough. He even said that a lot of them usually end up doing that for that reason

2019-05-14 03:01:06 UTC

Another fucking big problem that they talk about in the video is leadership. They will whip their people to follow party line, even if they disagree with the decision... well... because it's party line

2019-05-14 03:01:33 UTC

Let me see if I can find the video. Please take the time to watch it, it is without doubt the best video on Congress

2019-05-14 03:01:43 UTC

i feel like it shouldn't be as rewarding

2019-05-14 03:01:48 UTC

Because it's all members of Congress taking the attitude of fuck it, I'm leaving I don't have to hold my toung

2019-05-14 03:01:48 UTC

My big issue is that it's devolved into 2 parties

2019-05-14 03:01:57 UTC

Yeah. Like they get all these perks and shit

2019-05-14 03:02:05 UTC

serving your nation should be a sacrifice for all involved not just the troops

2019-05-14 03:02:16 UTC

Agreed

2019-05-14 03:02:21 UTC
