The 2nd Amendment ensures that, yes, but so long as we defend our constitution and our rights through political process and debate, we have the opportunity to ensure that our government remains in check. Well, if I run for the House of Representatives in my district (something I'm considering for after I leave the Marine Corps), I would support the 2nd Amendment and vote against the current bills that are being debated, and I would work to invest heavily in infrastructure, healthcare, and lowering taxes on the majority of Americans. I am in favor of a form of European universal healthcare, but I also wish to end corporate welfare and ensure that the majority of our revenue doesn't come from payroll and income tax (which of course is pooled from the 99% of working class Americans). I would like to see a restructuring of the primary school public education system, and some serious fat trimming on federal spending for certain agencies. And I am all about that eco friendly shit.
