Rhodesia was a state of what is now Zimbabwe that was overthrown through means of soviet backed racial socialist revolutions to kick the white man out

then he started begging em to come back and they said "no"

What was even more fucked up about Rhodesia was that even though it was a white minority government, they weren't like apartheid South Africa, the only country who supported the Rhodies. They actually had a tribal council which they took seriously, and the tribes owned a fair amount of the land in comparison to white Rhodesians. They were a relatively cohesive nation, but they were labelled by Soviet and even American media as a threat to international stability

The world turned it's back on Rhodesia. It was a bastion of European volk in Africa during the Cold War. Independent and free. Beautiful honestly, from the pictures. A fucker named Mugabe got into power and raised a guerilla force and attacked what was until then, a peaceful nation. Mugabe and ZANU tried throwing the Rhodesians out but they fought tooth and nail for every mile of territory... but like Thermopalae, they were betrayed.

While Zanu received Soviet support, Rhodesia received no aid from the Americans or NATO. They fought hard and long, but there was no way they could win.

They weren't a threat to stability. They were a threat to the INstability of the continent; something that the Soviets and the West both found dangerous to the conducting of the cold war

Third world nations are easier to plunder when they're an unstable mess

And so, Rhodesia has become a symbol of sorts to generations. White teens watching their race be demonized relate to it, old boomers that hate communism relate to it. It's an Icon of the anger that white people everywhere have building up.
