I just wish she didn't have to deal with this. I feel bad enough that she's the one working, but there's a core to family: you protect them. We built the machines, the farms, the main gears that allowed the fine, refined coasts to blossom and grow. It's just so maddening to watch, I feel like I'm in They Live, but i can't take the goddamn glasses off...screaming for everyone to hear about what's right in front of them, yet nobody seems to understand.

It's going to sound sad...but i think you fellow, as well as the general madmen of the net, are likely one of the reasons i'm still somewhat sane.

You look about, see things as they stand...natural disasters, looming war, a wave of brown swallowing up civilization inch by inch, year by year. Riots, greed, blind lemming-envied suicidal idiocy (yes i know they don't really commit suicide en-mass, gimme my metaphor), it's hard to look around and hold faith up, sometimes. I hope this blooms, that we can carve something, even just a few linked enclaves, from this small clutch of loonies we have.

1917, 1939,1945, 1965, 1969 are all the big hits in my opinion. Its just far enough back now that it is essentially removed from living memory. Easy enough to rewrite the history books on all relevant subjects.
