Ablesmith, the fasces isnt nearly as demonized as the swastika

2018-02-12 19:12:42 UTC

most people have no idea what it means

2018-02-12 19:13:24 UTC

Not nearly to the degree of the swastika. Most people have no idea what a Fasces even is

2018-02-12 19:13:29 UTC

So all that matters is how others view us?

2018-02-12 19:13:49 UTC

It's about how we present

2018-02-12 19:14:03 UTC

no, but you can't be autistic about it, there is such a thing as nuance. the swastika is not an american symbol, The fasces is

2018-02-12 19:14:04 UTC

we still have fasces in the house chamber yeah

I’ll post that. Thanks goy

2018-02-12 19:15:32 UTC

@Ablesmith The fasces really has not been demonized, and is far, far more prevalent in American history and culture throughout Western Civilization. The comparison is flawed. It's not just how we present, it's also about using things we believe in. I believe in the symbol of the fasces because of what it represents.

2018-02-12 19:15:45 UTC

@hlaiwas Wait a bit and I'll send you a not messed up version of that.

2018-02-12 19:17:51 UTC

We don't do fashwave on the official accounts because it has colors other than red/white/blue. HOWEVER, you're free to post them on personal accounts and all that.

2018-02-12 19:18:09 UTC

Very cool.

2018-02-12 19:18:20 UTC

Yea those are badass

2018-02-12 19:18:55 UTC

Okay, question. Even though you don't use the swastika, do you beleive in what it represents?

2018-02-12 19:19:26 UTC

I believe it is a symbol that represents a people that I do not belong to.

2018-02-12 19:20:19 UTC

I'm going to say yes since most people associate it with George Lincoln Rockwell's "this is the symbol of my race" doctrine.

2018-02-12 19:20:39 UTC

But I don't think we should use it as an explicitly american organization

2018-02-12 19:20:58 UTC

I believe Thomas views it as german symbol specifically

2018-02-12 19:21:30 UTC

The swastikas is a foreign symbol, I wouldn't use the sonnenrand or Slavic sun wheel either

2018-02-12 19:22:23 UTC

The fasces is literally the physical representation of "from many one"

2018-02-12 19:22:45 UTC

they are both ancient symbols and I understand the affinity for it

2018-02-12 19:22:57 UTC

I think it's more of a broadly Germanic thing, if any. We also don't use relatively un-demonized runes like the black sun because they aren't American in nature.

2018-02-12 19:23:26 UTC

I don't know what your ethnic origin is but greater than our ethnicities the swastika represents the white race and even greater than that it is a symbol of the idea of ethno-nationalism as a whole

2018-02-12 19:23:29 UTC

That said, I happen to remember a few members with a swastika flag

2018-02-12 19:24:00 UTC

@Ablesmith How does the symbol itself, as part of its origin, represent ethnonationalism?

2018-02-12 19:24:29 UTC

You can have a swastika or you can actually have members, easy call for me.
